Why does my boyfriend jokes about me having sex with someone else?

Question

He constantly jokes about that but I wonder if he think is serious.
If he sees a bruise in my leg or butt he says something like "maybe you are having sex with someone else and he is hitting you" or if i say that I am going to the movies foe example, he says "With who with your boyfriend?"

I know he may be joking but this jokes are constantly.

I believe those are signs he doesn't fully trust you in the sexual department. It is sad that a lot of guys believe or suspect that literally every girl in this liberal feminist sexual empowerment era (more like feminist sexually depraved era) may be sleeping with several guys due to the ease at which girls can access sex If they want it and also due to the current modern propaganda to women that they should unleash their sexual desires and enjoy as much sex as they want, "as long as they stay safe", when the safest option would be to abstain from sex entirely until in a strong committed relationship.

Does he know anything about your past that might give him cause to be suspicious that you might be promiscuous, or someone may be feeding him stories about you from somewhere (friends maybe?)

someone else said insecure... to me i think he is covering. first thought is he is covering for something he is doing himself. if he is doing something and makes u do something than he is not doing anything wrong. the more he pushes u the more likely it will happen. any reason its a shitty thing to keep saying to a girlfriend... unless u have that kind of relationship, but it seems u dont since it bothers u and u are not having sex with others.

If he only says it now and then he would be joking. But the fact that he says it often means that he might be doing it for a reason.  I don't know him well enough to say why he would.

I joked about this with one of my buddies before, because we both believed there's no way he landed that chick lol, anytime she goes somewhere he says "shes probably checking out other dudes"

I think he is testing you. Be careful. Really I mean it, not a joke. That could be because of suspicion. Prove without having an argument or quarrel that you are innocent. That's it.
