Do actually girls get horny and crave sex as well?

do girls get horny and crave sex like guys do?
i believed the saying that women don't rlly like sex was just one of those myths until a couple recent questions "Is it true a woman can be perfectly happy never having sex once" and to my surprise the majority said yes.
and another more recent one along the lines of "Is sex essential for a relationship" and again to my surprise the majority of girls were cool never to have it.
so is the myth about it being a myth, actually the myth?
Do girls get horny and crave it or is it just a pleasurable way to bond with a guy because guys need it?

  • I am a man. i can never have sex and still be happy and i believe sex it is not essential for any relationship. sex is not love. love is not sex.
    Women are human being and sexual creatures and they desire as well as any other.

    For your knowledge. the undeniable fact is that female has stronger nerve connection overall than a male, male only has one sensitive spot while a female has more than a few, three essentials and several B-sides. a female own one particular area which directly designed for the pleasure while male never owned such an area, and that particular area owns over thousands of sensitive nerves which generally is third time stronger than male's one and only spot; now, one area only has such a power, then add other several places and gather all the nerves all together! if you compare the genders now, you can feel it's like male doesn't even have a feeling in compare of a female.
    Men:Penis - lips
    Women: Essentials: Clitoris area - Vaginal area - G-spot. Labia Majora and Minora which contains heavy blood flow and containing some sensitivity. B-sides: Breast, neck, arms, stomach, thighs, lips - (rotatable and changing according to personal fantasies and preferences)

    But the list below is part of the reasons why you would think females don't feel much.
    1. Culture and lack of knowledge: The majority of woman around the world are unaware of their own body and how they designed so they can't find the right way of taking care of themselves. the lack of education, the fear of exploration, the wrong behaviors of the environment and shyness of talking about it makes them to completely keep quiet or never realize what kind of feelings they can reach within their own body.
    2. Society: So many females across the world afraid of expressing their feelings cause they scared of being called names and find bad reputations, because of the wrong responds of some sides of each society around the world, thus some females even believed feeling such and having active hormones constantly is abnormal and they have to hide or ignore and at the end forget it.
    3. Religion: Religious communities constantly teaching that getting connected to such feelings are sin (specially for women) and woman shouldn't be like this at all, otherwise something is wrong with that woman.

    Beside all these, women can hold themselves in a better way than men, mostly because women's nature is transmit the beauty and men go crazy.

  • Only for hot guys. Women standards are very high. While the average man can get sexual attracted to the average woman, women on the other hand need you to be like male model status to get their panties wet. These are the guys women pick constantly for ONS/FWB.

    They only give average guys a chance for one or more of the following reason:
    1. Wallet

  • I can speak for myself and have an exact idea what very good female friends of mine feel about this. We sometimes are horny, very horny and sometimes not at all for a few days of more than months.

  • It's myth the girls don't like sex and get horny. Sex is inbuilt in human nature and body. However the difference is that whereas guys express their desire and also they can't hide it, the girls successfully keep it under control.

    • Being single or in relations is immaterial. Sex is inbuilt in human mind, body and is forceful character. Girls even if single get horny as it is natural.

    • Some do, some don't want an emotional attachment. The difference is whether women actually pursue the desire to have sex or not. I'm sure there are plenty of women who get horny and crave sex, yet also want emotional attachment. We can get turned on visually, yes, but I'm not sure it's as much as guys. Long story short bro, hormones cause us to get horny. I don't know what you're tryna get at if this isn't the answer you're looking for, sorry.

    • Not all women do, but you have to keep in mind that sex, for women is exercising a lot of vulnerability; you're basically bearing all to someone, so to feel comfortable having sex with someone often (but not in all cases) takes caring about the person. Women are visual, we're attracted to attractive men but what we find attractive about them can vary, that's individuality. Unlike men though (again, not all) we aren't so driven by what's on the surface to act on carnal urges.

    • Ovulation period typically it takes 5 to 8 days. Some women have raging hormones that they want it everyday. Some want it few. We have testesterone so and producing sperm everyday therefore we are always horny. Women walk around turn off most of the time. They have to see or encounter with high value men (tall, masculine hot guys) to get aroused. Or they have to see or encounter with their boyfriend. Women don't desire most men but we desire most healthy women. Women desire specific men. Don't get confused with emotional connection it just a word for desire. Women have a lot of hook ups how can you explain that with emotional connection? When women desire a man they develop feelings, desire like you desire any hot woman.

    • Oh my god... we do get visually turned on. When I watch a movie with even a subtle and tasteful sex scene, it definitely can be stimulating. Also auditory stimulus like hearing someone moaning has the same effect, even if I can't see it. Personally I am not as likely to get horny just from seeing an attractive man, but some women do. Women occasionally get horny as part of a cycle, and there are also certainly times when they do not desire sex, which is when emotional attachment and connection plays an influential role. All female mammals in the animal kingdom experience these times of sexual desire, when they are "in heat." Please read about it.

    • i can't speak for anyone except myself but i've always been extremely visual and the guy MUST be my type to a certain % physically to even do foreplay let alone sex. i'm very, very picky. i get strong sexual feelings around ovulation and off and on for a few days from the 3rd/4th day of my period. at those times i don't care as much about relationships (although that would be ideal and i try to hold out for that) and i'm weak to guys who i am attracted to and NOT to guys who i am not attracted to.
