If someone has a life-threatening STD like AIDS Or HIV and they transfer the disease to you and their fully aware, is it considered murder?

If you have sex with someone's that has an STD like aids or herpes, or HIV, is it considered murder?🤔 What if they knew that they had the STD but was unwilling to tell you the truth before you had sex with them, should it not be considered murder? To me that's almost like pre-meditated murder. I mean I'm sure the girl isn't thinking about killing you, she's probably thinking about a good time but if she has an STD that takes lives and she passes it on to you knowing the consequences, sounds like murder. Agree or disagree?

  • Its not exactly murder because that person probably had absolutely no intent of murdering or killing you. Not only that, but sex involves two people. If you get it passed to you, it is also your fault because you could have said no, you agreed to having sex with that person. If you were forced, thats a whole other matter that will already give you jail time, it would be rape and sexual assault, but thats a different subject.
    I don't think you thought this through enough to really state a valid argument.

    • People engage in activities together knowing it will get someone killed and the courts are always looking for someone to throw the blame, even if it was consensual sex, one of the person has no idea what's being passed to him/her, this is all due to the fact that the diseased person is looking for a good time and not being honest about what he/she usher harvesting their body. Thus I consider it murder. What kind of dumbass sleeps with a diseased person after knowing about the disease? That's a (heartless fuck you idc gesture ) I have thought more about this than you've assumed.

    • People go rock climbing or play with guns and even if the gun goes off by accident, the system will try to turn it around to make it seem like you murdered that person out of spite or jealousy or some crazy elaborated story.. & if your Rock climbing or somthin i'll probably say you pulled on the road to heart and forcefully pushed the other person off of the mountain, my point is there's always someone to blame so why isn't there anyone to blame when someone does something shady like give the other person an STD?

    • I'm not "assuming" that it's not murder. It just isn't. It's awful and despicable and there should absolutely be consequences, but it just doesn't fit the definition of murder.

  • Someone in the Netherlands was convicted for this (the perp didn't use a condom, knew he had HIV and didn't tell his victims), but I think the charge was something like aggrevated assault, not murder, because HIV isn't an immediate death sentence.

    • They all aren't immediate death sentences but you go through so much suffering and pain before you die, that sucks!

  • I think it can only be murder if she intended for you to get infected and die, like if that was her plan all along. Otherwise it's more like gross negligence causing death.
