[Women] have lower to no sex drive just because of less testosterone or lack of testosterone?

I read this in some article. So, really want to know about this.

A healthy male produces between 12 to 17 times the amount of testosterone a woman does. It is a biological impossibility for a woman to want sex as much as, or as often as men. No woman will ever experience 17 times the amount of her own testosterone levels (barring steroids). Amongst its many other effects, testosterone is the primary hormone involved with stimulating human libido. If women have high testosterone then she has high sex drive but it's compare to men's with low sex drive. High estrogen means low sex drive and high testosterone means high sex drive. Estrogen is anti sex drive hormone and testosterone is fuel for sex drive. Women have more estogen and low testosterone that's mean they have low to no sex drive. Guys have high testosterone and low estrogen that's mean they have more sex drive.

Suppouse sex drive is fire and testosterone is oxygen. Those who have more oxygen ignite more fire. Estrogen is carbon dyoxide and it turn off fire. Those who have more estrogen and low testosterone have no sex drive because estrogen switch off sex drive. Estrogen level increases ten to twenty times, but testosterone level rises only about five times. Due to lack of testosterone they have lower sexual interest.

Sexual desire, sexual arousal, sexual interest totally depends on testosterone. Estogen is anti sexual hormone that means anti sexual desire, anti sexual arousal, anti sexual interest.

Guys are horny because of testosterone, guys are visual because of testosterone, guys feel frequently sexual urge because of testosterone. But girls have little testosterone that's mean they're not horny, they are not visual, they don't feel sexual urge.

If guys have high testosterone he experiences high sex drive, if he has high estrogen he experiences low sex drive. But if girls has high testosterone she experiences high sex drive but if she has high estrogen she experiences low sex drive. That's mean estogen is libido killer hormone and women have high estrogen so they have no sexual desire and they don't get horny. Men's low sex drive=Women's high sex drive?

Do women actually have sex drive or it's a myth? But how it's possible that women have sex drive? Because sex drive is totally depends on testosterone and men have average 300 ng/dL and 1050 ng/dL and women have only 6 - 86 ng/dL. Is it women have sexual appeal because of estrogen and men have sexual arousal and sex drive because of testosterone? Estrogen create sexy things and kill sex drive and testosterone create sex drive and kill sexual appeal?

  • Women have sex drive, but it's for different reasons and causes. Men and women really are different, but the FI tries to make them equal which means all the same, and that's where they get it wrong.
And the difference is 17 to 23 times as much testosterone in men. Even more than you though. And the reason women are unable to understand the male sex drive - it is physically impossible for them. They can never feel that.
For women, sexual desire comes from emotion, from their feelings. For men is it is physical. That's why women can shut down simply from verbal interaction - if their feelings are hurt they are not sexually aroused. A guy can, he can get aroused and perform punishment sex. It's just way more physical for men.
"Guys are horny because of testosterone, guys are visual because of testosterone, guys feel frequently sexual urge because of testosterone. But girls have little testosterone that's mean they're not horny, they are not visual, they don't feel sexual urge."
This is pretty much it in a nutshell, although somewhat over simplified. Women are visually aroused - they like a manly man, a strong guy, but it comes from a different place in the brain - more like he represents a strong provider, a defender, makes her feel safe and secure, for her and her offspring. The result is she gets the 'vagina tingles' due to this visual arousal.
And they do get horny, the more sex they get the more horny they get. Women like orgasms, and they get off on pleasing their man.

    • [women, sexual desire comes from emotion, from their feelings] that's mean single women who don't have love are asexual. right?

    • You lost me there. "Mean single women"? As in they are mean? Are you saying if they don't have love they are asexual? What I know is that women like sexual intimacy, some say as much as men. But it comes from a different place in their head, and it feels different. And people of both genders are all over the board, so it's really important to determine the drive level of a potential mate - are you both more casual - like once a week people? Or does one or both like it all the time. I will tell you I got started with my second wife as an affair. We fucked our brains out. After almost thirty years together, even as aging adults, we are still extremely active. If it's more than a few days she starts dropping hints. She is very sexual, high drive. Of course I just love that. :)

    • We males also have emotions, we are no sex-robots, Nadia Bokody for example pointed it out.

  • "It is a biological impossibility for a woman to want sex as much as, or as often as men."

statements like this are where i throw articles out. this simply can't be true for all 6 billion people on earth. even on this site you will see questions about women who want sex several times a day and a partner who isn't up for it. or a woman complaining because their partner only wants sex a few times a month or something

testosterone is not the only thing that factors into libido. there are other hormones and chemicals that factor in like dopamine levels. additionally there are environmental factors that can weigh very heavily, perhaps even more than simply testosterone.

so perhaps women by in large have lower sex drives than men but any time we start talking in absolutes i know it isn't accurate

  • I kind of disagree on the high estrogen being anti sex drive. It does make one more relaxed and content as long as it doesn't go too high. When I went too high on my estrogen meds when I did hormone replacement my sex drive would go too high. I just try to stay as secluded as much as possible.

For younger women I think it is more of a combination of high estrogen and a good amount of testosterone. Some women after menopause have a higher sex drive because as their estrogen drops their testosterone is more prevalent. I had a hard time taking progesterone with my estrogen replacement because if felt like it converted to testosterone which made me more angry and aggressive. I have enough of my own naturally occurring testosterone.

    It's really a fine line.

    • Then why did I always believe that only males have testosterone? Why was that so deeply embedded in me? Maybe I learned it wrongly at school? Very confusing and hey, I'm not insecure or so. #TIL Still don't blame that hormone's level for being low.

  • ... sad to hear that you've never been with a woman with a sex drive.
Even sadder to hear that, from this alone, you've concluded that women as a whole have no sex drive, and threw in a wide array of big, scientific-sounding words to give your conclusion a bit of validity.

    • women don't have sex drive because of lack of testosterone. so feel sexual urge very rarely. that's why only guys are masturbate and feel horny

    • .. it would be nice if sex drives were that simple, now wouldn't it?

    • Then why do women feel sexual urge rarely? Maybe 2 or 3 times a month?

  • Are you assuming that women need the same amount of testosterone as men to have an equivalent sex drive?

    • yes because if men's estrogen increase their sex drive fall down. And women have little testosterone that's why they have much little and inactive sex drive. Testosterone is guys hormone, it's sex drive hormone. Women don't feel horny because they have not enough amount of testosterone.

    • Aren't you assuming a roughly equivalent physiological mechanism in both genders and roughly equivalent quantitative considerations?

  • Women are actually more sexual than men... Think about it for one second.

Women have the clitoris, the clitoris is an organ solely design for sexual pleasure, when the clitoris is stimulated the only thing it does is provide pleasure to a woman, men on the other hand don't have one organ designed specifically for sexual pleasure, on top of that women can have multiple orgasms, so they are basically sex machines.

Also you don't see men expose their bodies on social media as much as women do, they are sexual beings, who like to express their sexuality in pictures because they probably can't do it physically with a man.

Women like to dress provocative, use makeup and jewelry, and will often flirt or act sexual around men in social events, because they want to feel sexual.

Saying a man is more sexual than a woman is stupid and gives women an advantage that they actually don't have.

  • No, many women have lower sex drive because they settled with a guy they don't find attractive (or he's let himself go) and because they have terrible stamina and live unhealthily.

    • Same applies to males being with a female who has a low sex-drive (Libio).

  • Every human has sex drive, mostly it is lowered by some reasons. #NadiaBokody has pointed it out, what lowers sex-drive and she brings also some hints on how to improve it. Sure they are general and not individual on the person.

    • I think your way of seeing things is mixed up and a lot is wrong. Women do have a sex-drive just like us. Testosterone is only a male hormone and is not related to sex-drive.

    • Okay, for the male testosterone is directly related. But for the female estrogen is directly related. Maybe the all-famous #Wikipedia is not really a good source, but a start: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Libido Also follow links to real scientific websites.

  • Testosterone = physical drive.

Women do not have an equally strong physical sex-drive, but there is more to the ex-drive than just that.

    • Wrong, testosterone is the male's hormone, while females have estrogen.

  • Another thing that also kills female libido is sex negative social conditioning , such as " slut shaming " , which women do far more to each other , than men do , either way it is repressive BS !!

    • Many psychological things affect it. Please watch the linked video.

  • Women have sex drives, and pretty high sex drives.
During certain times of a month, women get outstandingly horny.

  • A woman is actually more sensitive to the effects of testosterone than a man is. Testosterone plays a big role in the sex drive but it alone is not responsible for it.

    • So much wrong believes. Testosterone is MALE-ONLY. Females have estrogen. Did you win your sex-education is lottery?

    • Sorry, I didn't know it. I was taught maybe the wrong way. Testosterone comes from their ovaries.

    • Yes, emotions play more a role for them. That is why feminists 3.0 don't understand it or word it otherwise against us?
