This is the second night in a row that I can hear my neighbors having sex. They must have a window open or something. It's weird because none of my windows are open. But my AC is still in the window... that could be why it sounds so loud. Either way, she's really enjoying herself!

One time I was on my way out of there, and I happened to run into the girl who was the source of the noises (... my friend had already given me a description of her, just so that I wouldn't be accosting random strangers lol... yh I had *plans*, bby).
I started making some small talk with her... it was Saturday night and she'd clearly had some drinks, so, I went for that promise of greater-than-usual openness and just straight-up asked about the boy.

Her:
"Oh, THAT no-good-ass sonuvabitch? Girl you can HAVE his bitch ass"

... and I'm like O really.

I don't even remember how I did this, but, I actually managed to secure the boy's contact info from her (... an easy thing to do wiht a girlfriend's former fuck buddy, but, NOT usually such an easy thing to do with a complete stranger's former boyfriend).
I **think** I tried to plant the idea in her head that he would "come around and bother her" and that I would (gladlyyyy!) take some of that attention off of her... but, I don't totally remember (hey, this was like 23 years ago). Anyhoo I managed to get dem digits.

Tried the boy out, and... yeah, he was pretty good. She must've been some scream queen generally speaking, because I'm pretty loud myself if I might say, and he wasn't THAT scream-inducingly good... but, still, definitely worth something on the fuck-buddy black market. Lol.

He was also so stupid that it was absolutely heartbreaking (... so, no possibility for a real relationsihp there). But, you can't win 'em all.

I saw that girl 2 or 3 more times, but, I never did end up telling her I'd bitten off my own piece of that boy (... since I had no idea what emotions might spill out of her sober self).
Probably best for her not to know that she'd inadvertently been... uhm... a source of advertising. <3

Right. #muah I was just lookin out for the girl. __ rgd the a/c -- fair enough, I suppose. When I somehow lived through a Montréal winter, I definitely took out a window unit and put in a 2nd sheet of glass -- Montréal is like 3.5 fucks of a lot colder than Philly. (... yes, I originally wrote "one fuck of a lot colder" but didn't think that adequately expressed the magnitude of the difference) Having *that* much less heat escaping from the place made a noticeable difference in the heating bill tbh.

hm, yah, makes sense. I'm a *little* better at tolerating colder weather than I was in my 20's (ask me about the time I went to my friend's parents' place **in Siberia** for Christmas!), but, I'll always be a desert rat. About the boy, I'm usually pretty good at feeling out the differences between 3 different kinds of "he's a no-good-ass sonuvabitch, you can have him": 1) the kind where it's just the alcohol talking, and the relatiosnhip will be fine by the next day 2) the kind where the relationship IS in trouble, but... at least has a fighting chance if I *don't* jump on that bait (but prl not if I do) 3) the kind where it's srsly over -- or where it SHOULD be over, and she legit shouldn't take the boy back even if he comes knocking This was definitely no. 3, no doubt about it. So tbh I kinda *was* doing her a favor (... and in retrospect mb I should have even said something about it, but, ehhh, discretion).

Me and my boyfriend were coming home from the shop, it wasn't even late (like 7pm). He lived in a block of flats (think Big Bang theory layout) and we walked in the ground floor where the first flat was. There was a Swedish lady renting it out.

Top of her voice "oh ja (pronounced "Jah") oh ja oh ja!!!" It took us both a lot of control not to laugh.

Yes I have. Back in my first apartment I used to hear the couple up stairs all the time. I tried dropping a few subtle hints but it never had an effect till the woman was down one day & her husband walked across the floor upstairs. She says do you hear that. Yeah. The first time was awkward, it was in high school at my friend's house. His mom was divorced and had a new boyfriend. In a two story house we're all in the kitchen at 11pm then they excuse themselves to bed, which is directly above the kitchen. About 10 minutes later I heard the bed above us squeaking like crazy. It got faster and faster, and after a few minutes stopped. I was looking at the boyfriends brother and my friend, who were still in the kitchen with me, to see if they heard it too but they didn't seem to notice the squeaking because of our conversation. It was awkward thinking, "uhhh bro you know that dude just busted in your mom?"

And in my last apartment my wife and I used to hear the chick above us getting boned. She was a serious moaner.

And on another summer night I was in our room with the window open, and my wife was in the kitchen cooking. I thought she was putting heavy pepper onto the chicken so I went to the kitchen and laughed "wow you're really clapping the pepper into that chicken". My friend used to rent a room, and I went over there to play video games in college. Another room was rented out by a consutrction worker or something for a long time. Then eventually the consutruction worker had a lady join him to help him pay rent.
