Can a GAY man and a STRAIGHT woman fall in love?

There was a question posted on GAG last year where the majority of GAGERS said that a GAY guy can fall in love with a transexual male (woman to male) who still had a vagina because when it comes to attraction genitals weren't important. This lead to me to wonder if it was possible for a GAY man to fall in love with a Straight female?

I think they can absolutely love each other and care for each other so deeply but I think "falling in love" implies "romance" which requires sexual desire as its seed.

Oh, I just noticed the text below the image mentioning transsexuals. That's complicated. I suppose if there is a sexual attraction there, it's possible. Transsexuals start to get into a complicated case though that raises lots of ambiguities.

If a person is born female by identifies as male and is attracted to males, then what kind of sexual orientation is it? I'd think it was "homosexual" actually, so the one who was originally female but identifies as male would have to be homosexual for her (now him) to be sexually attracted to a male.
