Guys always seem to want to know how many guys I have slept with so I thought I'd ask guys for a change. I guess guys think girls keep records or a counter by the bed or notches on their bed headboard. Personally I dont see why a guy really needs to know. But it seems a lot of them think it is.

If a guy asks then he should be ale to answer it for himself. Some guys ask because they want someone with similar past experience. Same with women who ask about the number of relationships a guy had and how long they lasted. Other guys ask for religious reasons, as in they're a virgin and are looking for the same. Some guys ask in open relationships due to worrying about std's (and if they don't ask this or you don't want to tell them this then they'd want constant proof you're clean before you have sex with them in an open relationship).

Other than that I never really saw or cared why knowing and asking were a big deal. If you've been dating a long time or are planning on getting married or are married then knowing it shouldn't hurt or affect anything especially if you're trying to know everything about your partner anyways. To me it's just another fact about my partner (not positive or negative), kind of like knowing her shoe size, favorite band, stories from her childhood and past.

Men ask that because they feel insecure or think that if you slept with many other men it may be a sign of unstable relationships or cheating behavior from you. Anyway. Men should realize that if you decided to be with that person the past doesn't really matter. Whatever you may have done before that relationship is in the past, and should not matter anymore.

I just get tired of men asking that like for some reason they need to know. I could understand if we were dating or being intimate but these guys just throw it out there like I owe them an answer. Thank goodness there are still nice guys.

In that case you can be very polite and say "That is none of your concern". Why is it so important to know how many people you have slept with? Will it make a difference on how you will behave with that person? Besides, it's just a normal guy who's asking, not your significant other or your fiancee. Therefore, there should be no relevance in this topic.

I suppose that for you is seen as rude or inappropriate, and you should just make it clear for anybody that you can chose not to answer and they should accept it. Punto y final.
