This is an extremely controversial opinion, but IMHO, anyone who's already had their first menstruation or ejaculation should be allowed to have sex with whoever they want, and by extension, whoever they want to have sex with should be allowed to reciprocate and have sex with them. Sex is for reproduction and for pleasure- if you're old enough to reproduce and to derive pleasure from sexual activity, then you should be deemed old enough to be allowed to participate in it. Otherwise, you're criminalizing sexuality.
I would say 18 as the minimun but law changes, it can be 18 now in most countries but in a future it can go up to 19-20, and I believe it´s posible if we take in consideration that life expectancy might grow and that even though our body fully develop once we´re 18 in most cases, it is known now that the mind fully develop at the age of 24-25.
So we are told but next we will be told our minds don't develop until 30
Yeah... I hope the law doesn´t change, I can´t imaging a world where been 19 years old, even 20, is been actually an underage.
Honestly, teenagers are still developing and they will look and act way different when they are fully grown in their twenties, and frankly, I don't know why you'd want to have sex with a child like that. 18.

i think drinking should be later too but sex has a way more devastating consequence, and i dont think that 16 year olds who are still in school and dont even have jobs should be potentially already be having children

in my school they stopped giving sex-ED when we were in our 4th year of high school. and we were taught by professionals so i think we got enough information.

I think that's more a problem with sex education as underage teens get pregnant despite the law.

In scandinavia where i come from, the legal age to have sex is from 15. From 15 you can fuck with everybody up to infinite age as soon as both agree to fuck. So if everybody feels happy its good.
