Why do people think Im gay?

Now I work at a bank that is in a majority gay community. But for some reason gay men keep flirting with me and every now and then a female ask me if I am gay. I don't have a feminine walk or voice. I don't even have feminine traits as in like hand gestures. I even have a pretty deep voice for a frame as small as mine (5'8 160).
Now I do get flirted with females (rarely) but not as often as gay men. And I think its because they might assume that I am gay. I think even straight men think Im gay. I couldnt cash this one guys check because his Drivers license was expired and his photo was scratched off. He gets pissed off at me and calls me a faggot...
This shit is bothering me so much I stop wearing jewelry as a whole no earing, bracelts , chains , etc.

So why do people think Im gay? Is there such thing as a gay looking face?

You work in an area where you're the minority. Of course everyone is going to assume you're gay when most people there are. It's the same as being in the average location and assuming everyone is straight unless told otherwise.

Well let me blow your mind right back at you. I know for a fact that gay doesn't have a walk or voice. But when ignorant people make that assumption that's usually the reason. And I said I don't wear jewelery. When I said I don't wear jewelry I was speaking on etc. Necklace , bracelets , and etc. The only jewelry I wore in the past were earrings. Every black man I know under 25 has had there ears pierced the swarovski earring joke was not funny at all and extremely childish especially since Im asking serious question and expecting a serious response.

Probably for the same reason that a lesbian will have guys flirt with her at a "normal" bar* (i. e., not a "gay bar".) You live in a majority gay community, so a guy there would be making a reasonable assumption that you are gay. Not because you give off some gay vibe, but because most guys there are gay. It's playing the odds.
