Is it okay for a girl to hang out with guys all the time?

Okay so I'm a tomboy and hanging out with guys (and a few girls) is easier for me to do then with girls. Well just a few days ago, I found out that there are rumors going about that I'm les cause I hang out with only guys and also cause I live with my brother who is gay and married to a guy. Well I am not lesbian and I come from a family of homosexuals. Both my brothers are gay, my mom is lesbian and my dad is gay. Well anyway, I don't know if its okay with all the rumors going around if its safe to still hang with my friends or if I should start going GIRL?

Just don't worry about what other people think about you. If you try to please everyone, you'll be miserable your entire life. Just be yourself - some people will hate you and give you sh*t, but there will be those who are gonna love you for who you are. And those are the only ones that matter.

Focus on the people who really care about the things that really truly matter in you. Some people can't see past certain things when they look at a person. Homosexuality is one of them. The fact that a lot of your friends are guys, is another. There will be those who will speculate that you're a lesbian, but so what? Don't worry about them, because they don't matter. Let them waste their time hating you, because at the end of the day, if you don't give a sh*t about them, you'll come out on top. They'll be the angry ones, and you'll go along happily with your life. =)

Besides, there's nothing wrong with being a lesbian, or coming from a gay couple. And there's definitely nothing wrong for you to hang out with guys. And if you're curious about what guys will think of it, here's the sad truth - some guys will think less of you for having too many guy friends. But not all of us are like that. Some of us are open-minded, and not so judging. So if you find you're having a hard time getting accepted by certain guys, just ignore them.

Remember, being yourself comes before pleasing other people. If you really want to be a certain way, f*** everyone and just do it.

Again, read my post. You're not gonna be able to stop people from thinking things about you, regardless of what you do. There are a lot of stupid people out there, who:

a. Judge people too quickly, before even knowing all the facts.

b. Look down on people for petty reasons.

c. Like to spread false rumors just to put other people down.

Because of people like that, it doesn't matter what you do - there will always be a rumor or two about you. Someone will always have a negative impression of you. This is why the best thing you can do, is to just stick to yourself and the people who actually show you that they care.

And remember, stop trying to prove to people that you're not a huge slut. If they think you're a huge slut, let them think that! They're not worth your time. You know it's not true, and so do the people who care about you. And that should be more than good enough for you.

You'll probably find that they're jealous.. Which they will completely deny, so don't even try to bring it up!

In school there were sort of two groups I spent time with.. "The girls" and "the guys".

I love the girls to bits, but I did start to hear rumours and snide comments from various girls regarding how much time I spent with the guys.

Apparently I was a slut and flirted all the time.. etc etc. It was nothing of the sort, guys are just easier to get on with!

A few years and a bit of maturity later they actually admitted to being jealous. I was laughing and joking and getting loads of attention from guys - despite the fact they were only friends - when these girls were far to nervous to consider doing the same.

It could be the same in your case..

well my parents had sex on night during college, parents didn't know that they were gay and they got married cause my mom got pregged, then they had 2 more after my oldest brother.
