Is it weird to want to be tied up and gagged but not for sexual reasons?

Ever since I can remember, I've had an interest in being tied up and gagged. Not to be bound for sex but just bound for the sake of it. Almost like having been kidnapped and bound left to struggle. The only sexual aspect that could possibly be seen from it is I love having my breasts in bondage. Japanese rope art is beautiful in my mind.  I practice self rope bondage by tying a breast harness on and trying my best to bound my arms/hands. Is this behavior weird for a girl? Would a guy be interested in a girl whose into this stuff?

It's a masochistic need to be subjugated, like when girls have rape fantasies. There's nothing wrong with it as long as every one involved are consenting adults and no one's will is violated by one of the participants deviating from what was agreed upon (use of excessive force, knowingly or unknowingly taking things too far, etc...etc...).

It's just one of a multitude of fetishes. Everybody has one, but most people don't admit it (even to themselves).

Some might be. A significant percentage of those might find it sexual, even if you don't.  Whether that makes you incompatible or not is a separate question.

For some people being physically restricted gives them a feeling of safety or security, like being hugged. For others it can be a stress reliever to give up control of one's body. For some people there is an element of fear involved which gives them an adrenaline high. There are for many reasons people enjoy being tied up other than sexual. For myself there's definitely a sexual element, but also a combination of all the above reasons.
