Do guys like genderfluid women?

Gender Fluid is a gender identity best described as a dynamic mix of boy and girl. A person who is Gender Fluid may always feel like a mix of the two traditional genders, but may feel more boy some days, and more girl other days. Being Gender Fluid has nothing to do with which set of genitalia one has, nor their sexual orientation. I'm genderfluid, but I'm attracted to men in case you were wondering. I never wear dresses or heels, game a lot, get along better with men, don't care much about my looks, have short hair and am studying computer science. However, I do like painting my face, but I'm confident without make-up too. I like watching romcoms, hate sports and like jewelry. I act more like a guy or more like a girl, depending on my mood. I didn't ask you to judge whether genderfluid is real or not. Nor did I ask you whether I was genderfluid. Just answer the damn question or go away.

  • never heard of the term, I just think of myself as weird, lol.. imma check it out in google after this :D

    just for the fun of it imma post my bio in that format here;

i love feminine clothes, skirts and costumes, hates pants, loves tailoring and just recently cosplaying, long straight hair, likes styling hair from time to time but usually just straight, hates makeup and use very little, can't get along with men because of trauma, loves hygiene and being clean, planning to study architecture and digital/finearts, almost never watches movies or series, loves anime/manga, loves online games especially eve online but got out of being addicted, hates WoW, likes guildwars 2(but its not challenging), loves sports, soccer, swimming, tennis, badminton, volleyball, hates softball, loves martial arts and mastered 2, (2nd dan at aikido, 4th kyu at taekwondo, judo and kendo, plan to study kyudo), loves to wear a judogi, obi and hakama, loves to teach students martial arts, loves to spar with boyfriend (we don't hold back lol), loves to wear a kimono/yukata (especially in a fireworks festival), absolutely hates jewelry but has ear piercings because mom forced it, wear very simple earrings if its formal or a party, loves birthstones

i used to be tomboy and was bi-curious for an endless number of reasons.. a few are really serious reasons.., I act more like a guy when I wanna be independent or pissed off a lot/stressed/irritated, and I'm very feminine when I'm really happy, comfortable and with my boyfriend :3

imma stay anon for 24 hours so I'm sure nobody will make me feel like crap, all bad comments will be ignored and reported, if you have nothing better to say just keep it to yourself.

    • oh and I absolutely hate high heels and pointed, hurts like hell, hates purses and hates material obcessions with bags, shoes and jewelry, it irritates me to see my friends spend a fortune on that pointlessly, I'm a bit conscious about my chest but I don't use breast pads or anything, I love myself and my body as a whole, don't know if that counts.. also I hate tampons/would rather use a napkin >_>

  • It kind of sounds like you're a tomboy, but needed to search out some inidividualized term to describe yourself. None of the things above that you listed matter. They are simply likes and dislikes. Male or female could like or dislike anything anytuime anywhere...

There's not really a reason to call it gender anything. I know some girlie ass chicks who love football. So they are now 'gender fluid'? This seems ...like you are looking too deeply into this. I'm not saying you made it up. Just saying it seems like an awful lot of thought was put into this and it probably wasn't worth the time..

    • A tomboy acts entirely like a male, I don't.

    • I don't believe you understand what a tomboy is, then. Pretty sure the main piece of being a tomboy is simply that you feel more at ease around guys, enjoy hanging out with them and therefore, enjoy doing some things that are considered more male oriented. I believe you phrased it 'get along better with'. You kind of made it sound like you literally feel like...MALE on some days. So, I guess you're right. You aren't a tomboy, 'cause I've never met a tomboy who actually thought they were a guy.

  • Dude I believe in genderfluid but I don't belive you are genderfluid based on your description of yourself..

Acts female? acts male... what is that supposed to even mean
and how does that decide your gender?

and bisexual guys like genderfluid people

  • wether guys in general like genderfluid

women is not an answer I'm able to give

just like that, It most likely depends on the

person and how/where they were raised, but

if I had to give an answer off the top of my

head, I wouldn't say it's the worst thing you could be.

If the person loves you, they'll accept any baggage

you might have, if you as a genderfluid person have

determined the gender of your affection you've already

thrown away the biggest issue I know some people could

have, now you're just a person with special interests, and

that there is nothing wrong with at all, some people could even like that ^.~

I could also be a light genderfluid, although I'm not certain, I'm

definitely into women, but I feel like I could easily have

been born a (lesbian)girl instead, I like to act girlish around guys

to make them feel uncomfortable, I do that for fun.

Maybe it's just my personality that'd odd

but I have no intention of changing ^.~

    • LoL you're funny! But I think you would be in trouble someday! Would take the responsibility if a guy fall in love with you? :P

    • pff, I'd have to leave them heartbroken since I'm not into men ^-^

    • LoL poor them! xD

  • That is an interesting description, I'd never heard of this before. I don't really think it makes a difference in anything except what other people you might attract, which is always the case anyway. I could like you or dislike you, and this may or may not be relevant to that. I can't see this ever really having any bearing on whether I like someone or not. I wonder if gender fluidity affects one's 'understanding' of the opposite gender, either for better or or worse. Better would make sense but I'm not so sure.

  • Yes I Do - I Do like such girl because she can handle many difficult situations where a normal girl will not try to attempt to resolve. I am not talking of He-Girls or She-Boys. It is genetic makeup and hormone decide our behavior. Social traditions make some guiding rules, but it is we who decide our way of working in this circumstances with the society.

  • So, you are a tomboy with make-up? and without sports?

    • No, not really. I don't act entirely male, but half of my traits are typically female and half are typically male.

    • Well, I think most everyone is genderfluid then... I like sports, that makes me a bit male...

    • Are you unable to identify as either traditional male or female? Then you're probably genderfluid

  • I would say no they do not, but some things you bring up I don't really see as 'gender fluid'.

I know guys who like short hair tomboyish girls, but they inevitably like girls who are like that and also about 5'2 and 100 lbs. Basically, the girl's overall delicate body more then offsets her being less feminine. An average, or above average sized woman with short hair who doesn't act feminine, no, I really don't see or know guys who go for that. I suspect a few are out there, but they would be unusual.

A lot of guys don't mind if a girl never -dresses- girlie. Most guys think its cool if you're into similar things to them, and get along with them. But they want you to be hot.

  • This is the problem. Society does not want men acting like men and women acting like eomen anymore. It's a shame.

    • No, the only difference is that society now allows us to act the way we feel. More women just happen to choose to act masculine and more men choose to act feminine. That shows you how repressed people were when it was pretty much mandatory to be traditionally male or traditionally female.

  • Isn't that androgyny?

    link

Did you have to take a gender studies course for your CS major?

I don't care if you're man-ish sometimes. I do care if you use a novel postmodern word instead of a perfectly good latin word.

You can be androgynous all you want, but calling it gender fluid is just silly.

    • I'm using the most commonly used word, but if you want to be a snob about it, go ahead.

    • Let's look at reddit.

      r/androgyny

      link

      r/genderfluid

      link

It looks like r/androgyny is much more popular. So much for gender fluid being commonly used.

Now that that's taken care of, did you happen to take a Gender Studies class for you CS major?

    • No, some people go out and do research for themselves. Curiosity. Ever heard of it?

  • I'd say so ya. I like a girl that has "guy interests" (Kinda stupid they're labeled that >.>) that I have, but also is girlie in some ways too. So, yes, very much like such a girl.

  • I can't judge you because I don't know you, but I'd say I'd like a mix.

I'd say I'd like a woman who is 2/3 feminine and 1/3 masculine.

Basically I like a woman who looks and acts feminine, but isn't afraid to do things that are traditionally done by men. A girl with "guy" hobbies is hot. I mean, as long as your body and face (jawline, neck, etc.) look feminine, you should be fine, IMO.

  • Actually, the people I prefer to date fall under the genderqueer umbrella (which includes genderfluid, agender, bigender, and androgynous), specifically biological females that identify with those genders. They seem to make the best partners for someone like me. I prefer female masculinity but I don't mind a dash of femininity here and there just as long as we're not talking so prissy that she starts crying because she broke a nail.

  • That sounds like you're making up sh*t to sound 'unique'. Why does everything have to have some stupid label?

    • How about you google it and then tell me I'm making it up? Lazy ass

    • Googling doesn't mean that it's not some made up term. Maybe not by you, but by other precious snowflakes.

    • Then go bother someone else with your black and white nonsense

  • So it basically means you prefer to be yourself?

I don't see anything wrong with that. Although for me, short hair on girls is not my physical preference... but you can do whatever you want. It's your choice, really.

    • I still say you choose to do whatever you want to do, and you can be who you want to be. :P

  • depends

  • i don't see anything wrong with it, so I voted yes :)

  • yes I do as long as they like men and if she is into me I'd go out with her to see if we can be together of it's not going to work , like what I do with any other girl, you are normal.

  • YES! I absolutely love these types of girls! :D

I think in a matter of fact I've have met one or two that has told me that they were genderfluid, and they do game a-lot (on P.C) and cosplay... marry me ? :X

  • Yeah, that sounds pretty good. Only thing I personally prefer to be different is heels every now and then and, depending on the girl, maybe long hair.

  • I'm Genderfluid! Yeah I would totally hang out/be with a genderfluid!

  • I have a strong bias towards more feminine women.

  • I like girlie girls

  • I personally don't like guys what so ever. But I need genderfluid friends :3 I am

  • Candidly, if I ever met a genderfuid woman I wasn't aware of it. I like girls who are girls 24/7.
