Kissing with tongue, yay or nay?

Anyone can answer, but I'm specifically interested in guys' opinions here. Like 90% of the guys I've kissed have used tongue, sometimes a LOT, and as long as it's not too much I really like it and I prefer it that way. But now I've met a guy who doesn't like kissing with tongue AT ALL and it's making me really frustrated and kinda confused. Do you like kissing with tongue? If not, why? And how can a kiss be sensational without it? (Extra: any advice for this dilemma? We have tried compromising but it only ends up being tongue-less and frustrating on my part)

  • When I first started kissing my boyfriend, he used way too much tongue and it really turned me off. Like, as long as you're not shoving your tongue down someone's throat -- I think a modest amount of tongue is acceptable. I personally like to flick my tongue across the other person's tongue lightly and stuff like that, but I don't like too much tongue. And kissing can be "sensational" without using tongue -- just have to know to use your mouth in creative ways. For example, gently sucking and biting each other's lips can be pretty hot, and deep kissing with only the mouth -- but at some point you're going to want to use a little tongue. Good luck with your guy problem! Maybe you just need to show him how you want to be kissed using your tongue. It could be he just doesn't know how to kiss with tongue. ;)

    • I think you may have a point. When we tried using tongue he didn't seem to know what he was doing at all. But if that's the case I don't know why he doesn't just say so/why he keeps saying no tongue is how he likes it. Hmm...

    • More than likely, he just doesn't know how to kiss very well and doesn't want to embarrass himself in front of you, thus it's easier for him to take the "I don't like tongue" route and not have to put himself outside of his comfort zone.

  • I love making out. It's option A for me. Kissing with no tongue will feel really boring and bland to me if I ever had to go back to not kissing with tongue. I don't see how a kiss with no tongue can ever be very sensational as you're not really "getting into it" by just kissing normally. I'd honestly not be able to survive with a guy who doesn't want to tongue kiss :/

    • No tongue kissing is kinda like just licking a piece of yummy cake. But tongue kissing is really taking a bite, tasting the cake and eating it aka the whole 9 yards. Of course this is metaphorically speaking.

  • I don't mind kissing with tongue, but I'd rather kiss without. I'm not entirely sure why, but it's more comfortable and natural for me.

    I also thought it was funny that all the guys so far picked "Yay" and all of the girls picked "Nay"

  • Hell yeah I love kissing with some tongue action. It's only one part of it, though, and you definitely need to work your way up to it, ya know?

    As for advice with your guy, it sounds like you're going to have to teach him how you like to be kissed. It's not a big deal really, provided that he's willing to learn and wants to please you.

  • I prefer tongue if i'm honest... I dated a girl who loved kissing without tongues, she did both but she really liked no tongue which felt odd for me for ages since she would be passionately kissing me without using her tongue. Something i'd never even thought possible.

  • I agree with Thatguy, some tongue is necessary for a good kiss as long as it's not being shoved down the throat. The last girl that I went on a few dates with kissed without tongue, and this was the first time I've ever had that happen. I just thought that she didn't know how to kiss, and I stopped calling her because of it. It's interesting to know that some girls actually prefer it that way.
