Wanting to become a stripper next year but don't know how to tell my boyfriend?

I'll be 18 in January and my job that I've picked is being a stripper. My best friend, mom and sister knows that I want to do this type of job for a while. I don't want to be the person wearing clothes as a requirement and earning a couple hundred dollars on a paycheck. I want to tell my boyfriend but he might flip and go bat shit, which he probably will because he loves me dearly and cares about what I do. How do I tell him?

Well it depends on the type of guy he is.

-If he is controlling, possessive, and thinks your naked body being showed to other men will dishonor him and make you less valuable as a human being, There isn't going to be anything rational to say to him.
-If he's a rational thinking person, who doesn't think a woman's worth his tied to the amount of clothing she wears, talking to him should be pretty easy.

If I wasn't so lazy I would have been a stripper before or in college. Working in retail, or any other "honest" work is degrading. Customers throw shit at you, yell at you, call you names, all for minimum wage (which isn't even enough money to wipe your ass with). If you're going to get treated like shit regardless, you may as well get PAID for it.

Anyways, if your BF is a piece of shit, he'll call you every name in the book and throw a tantrum. Who knows if he'll actually leave or not, but he will be verbally abusive and disguise it as "caring for you, and loving you".

Taking your clothes off and getting paid for it isn't a crime. However being treated like shit for slave wages at a minimum wage job should be.

If you're going to strip be smart. Don't piss away your money on dumb shit. Save your MONEY! Don't give it away to ANYONE. Don't get caught up in drugs, and don't hang out with the prostitutes. Keep your head straight and your goals in mind.

Don't let anyone treat you less than, that includes your boyfriend.

My boyfriend isn't possessive or anything that you named. He's a pretty chill guy. He supports me in everything I do. I'm use to people calling me names to the point where I can care less. College isn't going to pay for itself especially minimum wage. College is almost 40,000 and want to save up as much as I can, apply for scholarships and try and pay upfront. I got my head on straight with the drugs and prostitutes because I know I have someone that I will be going home to every night. She's not dating you pro lol. It isn't healthy to date anyone who is possesive, and thinks your naked body brings shame and dishonor against the world. Well if you owned a woman and took care of her, she probably wouldn't have to strip for money. Some people can be bough, but you've got to have enough to offer to entice them to do what you want them to do. Being Possessive doesn't pay the bills or college tuition. Good for you, however none of that applies to the QA. She wants to go to college, she has expenses and bills to pay for, she's in a relationship with someone else, and you aren't providing for her financially. I'm sure you'll make a housewife very happy someday.

Be prepared for him to dump you. No offense, but no guy or girl for that matter, really likes the idea of their significant other showing off their naked body to other people let alone on stage to an audience full of mostly creepers and even some married men. I'm not trying to put strippers down, but it's one of those things that magnifies the tactless distastefulness of female behavior. Stripping is the equivalent of vandalizing an exquisite, polished statue. Not only that, but how humiliating would it be for him if you guys are out together and guys in the general public, coworkers, friends, or even his family have seen you collecting dollar bills in your ass, seen you spread your legs down the poll, and flash your tits. No offense, but it will make you look far from a respectable, honorable female and he'll probably just dump you.

But I suppose you should just sit him down and explain how you feel and why you have and why you have made this decision.

Yea, i agree with pp, i once metioned becoming one to my boyfriend, and he got very upset. He told me he'd rather work 3 jobs than have me dance around naked for other men. We came to an agreement that i would never strip, but if money ever got very tight, i could be a cocktail waitress.
