You have to be taught values to have values. If all the other girls are wearing crop tops and short shorts and you don't have anyone to guide you then there isn't anything stopping you from dressing like the other girls.
Some girls don't have much respect for their bodies. They view their bodies as showpieces to show off to others. They see nothing wrong with wearing skin-tight clothes and think that anyone who looks or stares at their body has a problem.
Other girls claim they dress that way because they aren't ashamed of their bodies. To me that is hypocritical. I love and respect my body, which is why I don't wear clothes that show my butt crack or my cleavage. I dress modestly because I feel that my body is way too valuable to give men a free show of it. I am in shape and am not in any way ashamed of my body, I just don't cheapen myself by dressing in a way that puts all emphasis on my body.
Everyone has the right to choose what they are going to wear. I'll just never understand girls that wear skimpy clothes.
Well because food has hormones which causes people to sexually mature faster. Also because of the media and because really young children are easily impressionable , and because face it a lot of 14-15 year olds are dumb as fuck even though I'm sure that a couple of them are alright each generation keeps getting worse and worse. So that's the explanation I am going to give you for younger kids as they are stupid enough and probably going to get prreggers and I hate people who bring kids in to this world to have them be welfare kids. Now Older gals who fuck around a lot are not to be slut shamed since when you go to college people fuck and no one cares.

If they like that attention, let them have it. Personally, I stopped slut-shaming people. If they want that sexual attention and they feel good about it, then what's to stop them? When I'm out with my friends at a club and I'm wearing a sexy dress, I feel pretty good about myself and my body that I worked hard to maintain. That doesn't mean I'm a slut. I have a friend who sleeps around a lot with guys because that's just her thing and she enjoys doing it so I don't stop her. If she had a boyfriend and she still slept around, I'd put my foot down.
Get that your friend on here to tell me how many she has done and at what rate. I love to know how she compares with the greats
They are being used by the upperclassmen...what constitutes as being used by your standards? I think it's one to act with confidence, having no self image problems or feel good in their own skin and then to walk around like a prostitute waiting for the next big thing to leech off from. Inappropriate outfits, I bet you go to a private school or perhaps a boarding school? Why do you feel the attention they get is negative? Maybe the better question is why are you concerned with others and what they are doing, you should focus and do you homegirl. I don't think being a slut is anything to brag about, back in the hood a slut is something for you to knock boots and then bounce or to call when you want to bust a nut. Nothing you'd want to keep around and call special.
Immaturity and lack of understanding the responsibility and meaning of sex. No, this is not just girl's, guys too of that age in fact more so. I wouldn't call them "sluts" since that is gender specific for the most part. Its just ignorance and like the attention they get from it, girls and guys, plus hormones are going through the roof at that age and listening to what there body wants not logically thinking of any consequence that may happen later on down the road, but that falls under the immaturity and ignorance categorie like I mentioned. This is not gender specific.

Well some girls just realize that it's a double standard that guys can have sex, also effectively be "sluts" and get away with it with no consequences while heaven forbid a girl enjoys sex and has a healthy sexuality then she gets labelled as a slut. Besides, who are you to decide if a girl is a slut or not? Do you realize that many guys in your school are probably also "sluts" but yet you don't hate on them? Same thing.
In the U.S, at least in California, it is illegal for 2 minors ( below age 18) to have sex. In my opinion it is very poor choice for two of that age to be having sex... they rarely (read never with exception) are mature enough to handle it or know its important (Once again... my opinion). I highly doubt most girls that age think through regarding their actions like you suggested... its more of finding a guy hot, having a crush on him and giving him sex in hopes he stays. others do it out of pressure and to belong to a crowd or cause their friends did it or cause their bf demanded it (as opposed to genuinely getting to the point in a relationship where their is a mutual feeling and known responsibility). Some even do it to get pregnant and be on tv.
And? My point is that does not make them a slut. If it does, then so are the guys who also partake in these actions. I agree it's not wise to have sex so young. It's trouble. BUT to call a girl a slut for having sex? Some girls are also very mature at that age and can handle the effects of sex so it's unfair to just umbrella all the girls under 1 label.
sorry, i forgot to mention... this is not gender-specific opinion of mine. If I were to pair guys and girls from a pool of people... i would pair the virgins guys and girls together and the non-virigins together. notice how i used the word "most". Anyway, if it were a daughter of mine... I would certainly hope she would wait untill she was in her early 20s (21+) to engage in a serious relationship of that caliber.

They want attention and to feel pretty/desirable. Maybe they don't see the attention they're getting as negative. Not to be mean, but is the attention actually negative, or are you envious of them? I don't think there's anything abnormal about teenage girls being excited about their new curves and wanting to show them off/feel sexy. Showing skin does not necessarily make you a slut.

Sorry but why is it wrong for a girl who has natural sexual urges for them to act on them at least while they are single and not able to do it with one partner. As some of the women on here have said, a lot of guys do it but you don't label them? You are adding to the negative seterotype that its somehow bad? As long as consensual between the guy and girl then so what. "Do they think being a slut is cool" Do you think repressing natural urges is cool?
