So does having too much sex make you stupid?

Yeah so what do you think? I really do think having too much sex makes you stupid, it's like alcohol, moderation is best (none would be better) but too much will leave u agony (aka STDs) But i guess some people have more of an appetite for sex and they just gotta do it (like those big guys who can down gallons), but i notice that they're not really intellectual elites (or am i being stereotypical?) Anyways, i notice that smart people and those in very high position tend to steer away from sex (not avoid it, but limit it) yet those lower in society are crazy over it (hey, check out ur avg homeless family in third world countries) So, what do you guys think? and thanks!! ur helping out a lot of people by sharing ur opinions especially u older dudes.

  • I think you're thinking too much unprotected sex with random people. Otherwise you aren't any more at risk for STDs than a married couple who has sex once a year would be.
    Plenty of smart people have sex with their significant others multiple times a day! They aren't at risk for STDs any more than any other couple would be and that's fine. I'd even say it's even fine to have multiple partners (consensually of course) but lots of big CEOs and all that get caught cheating on their wives all the time. They just know to use protection and usually have health insurance so if they do get an STD they're usually covered/at least have little to no symptoms so word doesn't get out.
    As far as "homeless families in third world countries" go they don't have sex any more frequently than we do in America. We just have better access to contraception so we have less babies here since you know.. birth control and condoms cost money and if you're poor and uneducated you can't afford those things/don't know how to effectively prevent pregnancy so you get a baby which just makes you even more poor and you get stuck in a vicious cycle of having baby after baby and getting deeper and deeper in poverty. It happens here in America too a good bit. This is more so lack of education leads to more kids and NOT more sex leading to higher levels of poverty.

    So basically smart people usually have more money and better access to contraception and condoms and all that so they don't get STDs or have as many babies and they usually cover up their affairs so they usually don't get caught having as much sex. This doesn't mean that they have less sex.

  • Lol. I agree that too much sex is bad it can also cause prostate cancer. But I disagree with the low class thing... Many extremely important men like politicians and celebrities and business men cheat a lot and have sex with prostitutes etc ... People in high positions have too much sex because they have the money to get the girls and they strive for control and power and they like to try new things because they got bored of having everything.
    Plus having a high position does not make you high class.A person can be unclassy and have a high position.

    • Yeah insufficient ejaculation causes prostate cancer. That is why masturbation decreases the risk of cancer in the prostate. But, also too much sex can cause prostate cancer.

  • I don't think sex makes you stupid. I do, however, think stupid people have sex. I mean, I like to think of myself as intelligent, and have been told by many people that I'm very smart. However, if I can't get laid as much as I like, I can masturbate up to fifteen times a day just to get by. However, I only have sex with one person, my fiance.

  • OK Well the "big guys" who drink a lot of alcohol have developed a tolerance. That's why they can drink so much. It's definitely nothing they should be proud of but since they're alcoholics (most likely in denial) they'll make fun of a "2 beer queer" to feel better about themselves.

    As for people in "high positions" avoiding sex I tend to see the opposite. There are tons of "successful" people who get busted for not only sexual affairs but hiring prostitutes (since they have so much money). Now you can say they're "not smart" but they definitely are making the big bucks. Plus a lot of these big name guys end up committing suicide or getting busted for drugs (or both) as well.

    If a "successful" guy is avoiding sexual encounters and such, it's because a lot of guys know that a lot of women use sex for personal gain so they're avoiding these types. It's really hard for rich guys to find a woman who is not into them for financial purposes. That's why a lot of guys try to "stay in the closet" with their finances.

  • I think sex drives vary as much as any other human drive. Engaging it safely doesn't make you stupid but letting fulfilling that need put you in compromising situations clearly isn't smart. I have a high libido and to this day I have sex every chance I get.

  • Everyone has a different sex drive, however, I think that it's ignorant when people have several casual sex partners like dogs in constant heat. That shows a deep lack of self-control.

  • How much sex you have doesn't say anything about your intelligence, it merely says something about your sex drive and how much opportunities for sex you have. None of these have any correlation between them. Even if you think having a lot of sex is stupid, that's just your opinion and others may think differently.

  • I don't think so. I do think that more intelligent people tend to make better decisions on average when having sex (aka, I should really use protection if I don't want kids), but it's not a given.

    Sex is great for you mental and physical well being, provided you are careful and make decisions that fit your overall value system and plans for life.
