Why are girls afraid the finger themselves?

Guys tend to touch themselves at a young age and regularly once they discover sexuality. But why are girls so afraid to finger themselves? Of my three sexual partners, two girlfriends and my wife, none of them had ever touched themselves inside. Even setting self pleasure aside, seems girls would be curious to know what it feels like. It took some persuading but I have gotten my wife to put her finger inside herself along with mine (at 36 years old), which is super sensual. But when I asked her if she had ever done that before, she said no even though I know she has used a dildo so is not against masterbation.

  • My arm isn't long enough for it to work really, it takes too much positioning and eventually is just uncomfortable once I find an angle that works. Some girls still have a hymen though and don't want to break it because it kind of hurts. I know I broke mine with a tampon, didn't know hymens existed until a while later, so I swore myself off tampons until I found that tidbit of information. I think it's better I broke it the way I did though because I was bleeding anyway and I didn't scare myself. Sorry, I got a bit off topic, you could always ask your wife to know why she's never done that before.

  • I hope you will always be true to yourself, be honest about who you are and not try to be someone else or live up to someone else's expectations. So I would say to you, if you would rather play "slide trombone" in the grand canyon than tight end on the girls' team... Go for it, but try to "let the cat in before you go to bed," as they say. ;-)

  • I tried it when i was 15 and it felt pretty uncomfortable at first because of my nails, so i cut them. I managed to get 3 fingers inside of me and it was a really weird angle to try and thrust them in and out. I eventually gave up because my wrist began to hurt. I just went back to rubbing. I prefer and penis or tongue in there.

  • They're lying lol.

  • I think it would be a weird angle to finger ourselves so thats why most of us haven't done it.

    • yes this is the point

  • I'm not afraid either. I just don't feel anything when I do :/

  • To be honest. ... It's gross to me. I put in an applicator-less tampon once and the feeling of your finger in a warm hole in your body just felt gross to me. I can't even touch my belly button.
That's my reason. I know I'm weird. Oh well.

  • It doesn't really feel as good doing it myself.

  • i'm not afraid...it feels so good

  • Honestly it feels weird inserting my finger there. It's not pleasurable. No pain with one finger but with two I can feel slight pain. But it's not pleasurable. I don't like doing it. I just tried it cuz I was curious.

  • Cool best way let that man do for you what you can’t do your self

  • Awkward/uncomfortable angle. Maybe if my arm was longer. You have to focus so much on reaching and stretching that it's impossible to lay back and relax the way most women need to or prefer when they masturbate.

  • I was super afraid of it at first. Like, the thought of it seemed gross and I tried it a little bit once, felt nothing, freaked out, and pretty much stopped.

But then after a guy fingered me, I realized how good it felt and started trying it myself. Now I never masturbate without fingering myself and my orgasms are like x100000 better!

  • I am not afraid of it. I always do it at a young age.

  • I'm my afraid. I do it all the time
