Yes, it's possible for any guy to get a girlfriend. You just have to follow these 2 simple steps - which can actually be quite a challenge.
1. Get your life on track.
The golden rule is: You can only have a great relationship with someone if you are comfortable on your own. The most important things you should do are:
- Get enough sleep, preferably at regular times. I'd recommend aiming for 9 hours of sleep a night for anyone between 15 and 22 years old. I try to go to bed every day at 23:00 and wake up at 8:00. When you go out, you can cheat on this rule without any consequences. Just don't stay awake and play video games all night.
- Eat and drink well. Get your calories from your food, not your drinks. Cut sugery drinks completely, and drink 2-3 litres of water a day - don't be a nazi about this, just place a bottle of water next to your bed, on your desk, and in my case next to the piano so it's always within reach. If you go out for drinks, try to stick to a maximum of 3 glasses of alcoholic drinks (of course, there are times you drink more, but don't be mad at yourself if it happens). Don't drink when you're on your own.
- Get enough exercise and be social. The best way to do this is to take a daily walk and join a sport club. My favorite sport is fencing, but a team sport or martial art (where you also have to take hits) may be more preferable for social reasons. When I'm walking through the city, I often meet tourists who ask for directions or just see people walking by and smiling. It really improves your mood and posture.
- Have long-term goals. This could be anything. You should be serious about them and not have too many. My long-term goals are completing my studies, practicing the piano because I have a series of concerts this summer and a tasking uphill sprint competition this autumn.

2. Quit porn, and limit masturbation.
I realized this only after I got myself a girlfriend, but luckily it wasn't too late for me since I've never been a heavy porn user. I always worried about finishing too fast, but maintaining a healthy boner and climaxing with her proved to be more difficult tasks - and that had NOTHING to do with her because she's bloody awesome.
Quitting porn can help you with completing step 1 as well, so these two steps are not in a chonological order. They should be followed at the same time. It will increase your willpower, motivation, concentration - heck, every aspect of your fysical and mental health. (Yes. This has been a game changer for me, even though I only watched porn about once a week.)
It will be hard the first couple of days. It will also increase your desire to talk and date actual girls. You'll also enjoy sex more and be great in bed since you'll have strong erections. If you're a heavy porn user, this will require you to rewire your brain. This may take up to 5 months, but it's worth it. In the following quote, the effects of porn on our brains and sex lives are explained: "When we watch porn, we become observers through the lack of interaction and the missing moment-to-moment sensations of touch, smell and taste. We condition ourselves to be no longer participants but voyeurs. This as well changes the brain making it harder for us to get or keep an erection during sexual intercourse with an actual human being made out of blood and flesh."
If you quit masturbation, this will not have any negative effects on your health per sé. If you have a girlfriend, let her pleasure you and give her directions since that's great for bonding and just great in general. But masturbation can also be helpful to explore your body and know what you like and don't like.
Just limit jerking off to preferably 1-2 times a week, or 1x per day max. Just don't utilize a grip that is too firm (since a vagina doesn't grip your penis as tight as your hands may do, even if it's very tight). Too much masturbation, or a grip that is too firm may harm your nerves and reduce sexual pleasure.
To achieve this, I highly recommend the following challenge:
The Great 120 Days Without Porn Challenge:
1) DO NOT CONSUME PORNOGRAPHIC MATERIAL
This means to not seek out and watch pornographic material either as video, image or text both online and offline. This includes services such as chatroulette or online dating websites or apps.
2) DO NOT MASTURBATE
Do not masturbate neither to porn nor to your fantasy. Give your brain a break and let it rewire itself to the real deal before we reawaken our libido after the 120 days again and strongly wire it to what reality has to offer.
