Accurate representation of what your period feels like
1. Invest in a heating blanket when you have cramps, it's the greatest thing ever.
2. Keep emergency chocolate around.
3. Invest in a good sports bra and sweatpants.
4. Keep an emergency towel under your bed and pull it out during the time of the month and never stain your sheets. Just don't use white.
5. Wear Galaxy or patterned printed pants on your period. These are the best prints I have seen that will hide stains if you bleed through.
6. Shower with the hottest water you can stand work wonders.
7. Practice good breathing. It will help when you can't get to your pain meds or heating pad.
8. Try a PMS smoothie
9. If you have the motivation, try to look better than you usually look. You don't have to look how you feel. Plus you never know when you will meet an old enemy.
10. Avoid salt. While chips and other salty food look good, they will just make you feel more bloated.
11. While I am still on the subject, avoid aspirin. Aspirin is a blood thinner and will cause you to bleed more.
12. Chamomile tea is perfect for periods. The yogi brand has woman's moon cycle which I have never tried, but is highly rated on Amazon.
