The Science of Squirting... IS IT PEE?

Good afternoon G@Gers,

If you all recall, a little while ago I put out a question to the community asking you guys about what kinds of awkward topics you personally would like to see me cover in the next few weeks as a sort of loose miniseries I plan on doing that deals with … well … you guessed it: awkward topics. I got a lot of great – and odd – suggestions, and as per one particular user’s request, today I am going to be talking to you today about squirting.

That’s right: I’m talking good ol’ female ejaculation – the art of giving guys a taste of their own medicine whilst simultaneously blowing their minds with wonder. A popular porn search, the topic of squirting is so controversial that it’s actually BANNED in the UK. Crazy, right?

The Science of Squirting ... IS IT PEE!?!

Said no squirt-lover ever.

Before I go any further, I have a disclaimer: I’m not a doctor or a scientist, so naturally I am relying on sources to provide you with this information today. If you feel you have more to add, create a discussion in the comments below.

Also, I think it’s important to note that I researched so far into this that if somebody were to check my search history they’d think that I was some kind of sexual-deviant-lesbian with a taste for bodily fluids.

Thanks for the suggestion, user.

The Science of Squirting... IS IT PEE?

To the heart of the matter, squirting might just seem like a generally new and popular pornographic fad to come up in the mid-2000’s, but the truth is that there has been fascination and study being put into squirting from as early as 1904. Scientists have done studies to determine just how female ejaculation occurs to what exactly it consists of, which is the focus of our take today.

The age old question: is squirt … PEE!?!

Many have argued that female ejaculation is in many ways analogous to semen, consisting of the natural female lubricant often referred to as cervical mucous or simply as vaginal fluid, which originates from glands in the cervix. However, other scientists have theorized and proven that female ejaculation is a completely separate occurrence from hyper-lubrication – though some still disagree. So what do other cum-wizzes think about the subject? And just how much can be relied on as fact?

The Science of Squirting... IS IT PEE?

Well, allow me to present some theories and facts to you.

A recent study conducted in France involving women who experienced copious amounts of ejaculate during orgasm (aka squirtin’ like a hose) focused in on whether or not the fluid that was excreted from the vagina had compounds that were indicative to urine – if it wasn’t just urine alone. If it wasn’t, what else was present? The results were interesting.

The women were prompted to urinate before the experiment began, and underwent multiple ultrasounds to view the bladder’s reaction throughout sexual stimulation. This test proved that during arousal, the empty bladder filled up, and upon orgasm, was found to be empty again. When the fluid was tested, it was discovered that it consisted of PSA (prostate-specific-androgen) and … you guess it: urine. So is squirt really pee? In the cases of these women (and women of similar studies) yes-and-no; it certainly isn’t urine alone, and other scientists still argue other theories, but in the case of the France study, urine was in fact a compound in the mysterious liquid that comprised squirt.

The Science of Squirting... IS IT PEE?

Yes, in cases of heavy-squirters, there’s a large presence of pee and prostate secretions.

OR … so SOME believe.

There are still those who argue that the fluid excreted during a squirting orgasm is actually almost identical to seminal fluid found in males, with the absence of semen; with high concentrations of glucose, the enzyme prostatic acidic phosphatase and low levels of urine-indicative chemicals. So, what does this conclude?

Every woman who experiences a squirting orgasm could very well have their own brand of love nectar – aka, squirt in their own unique way. With so many studies proving different things, in my unprofessional opinion, this is the only logical conclusion.

So, what should you really know about squirting?

1) It’s natural … for some
2) It’s nothing to be ashamed of
3) It isn’t any grosser than male cum no matter what it’s made out of
4) Scientists will likely never, ever agree on one exact theory, so just enjoy it for what it is

Decide for yourself in the comments below what you choose to believe. If you have any further facts on the matter share with everybody below. Hopefully you all enjoyed this take, it was interesting to make, and have yourselves a good week.

  • I think female ejaculation is one of the sexiest things alive. It isn't exactly pee. I once read a chapter in a sexpert's book where she describes female ejaculate as often looking clear to sometimes being somewhat thick like semen, and leaving no stain behind. So it can't exactly be urine but maybe a combination of urine and other female fluids, or a kind of different fluid altogether created through stimulating a woman to the point where she needs to piss her brains out and can't stop it and it feels good.

    • I think the reason people are so confused about what it is, is because not all females ejaculate during an orgasm, myself included. Thats why we sometimes label them "squirters" and "non-squirters."

    • @Grungenoreos True, but the majority of shejaculators do have it happen during orgasm. Some experts even think the ejaculate in women is like a bulk fluid - so to speak - of the same stuff that lubricates the vagina when a woman is horny.

  • I think it's pee because this has happened to me. I don't usually squirt, but sometimes if I have a lot of vaginal arousal my bladder muscles relax a lot and some pee dribbles out, because of all the pressure inside. But I'm nowhere near to orgasm when this happens.

    • I hipe your partner accepts this. This is very normal

    • @Justme987 And NOT pee!

  • It isn't pee. I discovered that I could squirt on my own a couple of years ago. I was curious, so I analyzed it. It can have a pee-like smell sometimes because it does contain some urine, but most of the time, it kind of had a hint of a sweet smell and was mostly clear with a twinge of yellow that was only visible once it dried. It didn't smell like pee when it dried. It doesn't shoot out, though I won't deny that some women may possess that talent. It more or less "pours out" when the g-spot is stimulated and the woman can focus solely on what she's feeling.

I'm just tired of people who haven't experienced it trying to say it doesn't exist. It does.

  • Love it! <3

The first few times I did it, I didn't know what to think. It was SO embarrassing. Especially since I'd never squirted with any partner before.

    • So I guess there is hope. I always have the dry orgasms lol and thought some squirters don't like it, I think it would be cool to be a squirter.

    • @Grungenoreos - It wasn't until Feb of this year [my last partner] that I ever squirted. No idea how it happened. Never been able to do it myself before or since and I have tried.

  • It is not pee it comes from the vagina. There is no sensation of letting your bladder feel relief. When he fingers me he feels it up in there takes out his fingers and it gushes out. It is clear not salty more like coconut water. He loves it. And there can be lots. It doesn't come out of a urethra if it does she faked it!

    • The clitoris is pushing on the bladder, it only FEELS like peeing but it is not. And porn has done even more worse on it, portraying it as peeing.

  • *dies because bodily fluids are mentioned*

Lol, but really, it's an interesting topic. Great MyTake.

  • I think it is urine. And this is ****TMI**** I'm sure of it, so you've been warned, but this ability developed during my pregnancy and I don't know if that's just a coincidence or if pregnancy changed some things down there... but my husband finds it ridiculously hot and I find it ridiculously embarrassing.

    • If you were British, when he says it's hot you could just be like "oh honey yr just taking the piss" bahahah

    • On a related note, have you ever let down during sexytimes? I haven't been fortunate enough to squirt, but, I do remember being momentarily embarrassed the first time I ever shot my husband in the eye with colostrum... lol Unsurprisingly, though, he turned out to like that... a lot. So, embarrassment was short-lived.

    • @redeyemindtricks bahaha, I would have died laughing if that happened to me and my husband lol. And I don't think so, is let down something that comes with subspace?

  • I have never squirted, but I almost did once! I am 100% sure that it is related to peeing as it feels like you want to pee when you come close to climaxing. If you find out why it feels good to have sex, its because the penis is stimulating a bunch of nerves that are around the bladder, thats why it sometimes feels really nice if you have to go pee bad and you gat a tingle when it comes out. Its the same nerves. I think that as you climax you relax your muscles and go with what feels good and you are litraly peeing. I think squirting is disgusting and I feel sorry for any man that had had a girl squirt in their face when they have gone down on their girlfriend.

    • It wasn't as bad as I thought it could be.

  • There it is! I was waiting for this to come out and must've missed it yesterday, haha. Beautifully done as always. Hopefully, this will help the arguments on this site. xD

  • Nice article. I have never been able to figure it out myself.

  • The way I look at it is Who Cares? It feels great for the woman when it happens, and really, that is all that matters. Pee is not toxic anyway. and it all cleans up easily. So if she can squirt and enjoys it, then the guys should always strive to make her squirt.

  • I read up and watched a lot of videos on this a few years ago after I read an article in PlayBoy about it. The article told about a girl who was an avid squirter and did an experiment where she drank a blue dye that turns the urine blue. She peed and it came out blue, then she masturbated and squirted and it came out clear. unless I have my stories crossed this experiment was done by The famous Dr Grafenburgh who discovered the G-Spot and it’s named after him. I’ve believed ever since that it is in some cases real.

I watched an instructional video that told how to supposedly do it and tried it on my girlfriend. I never made her squirt but she enjoyed me trying because what I did learn from the video was how to locate her G-Spot. No squirting but She did have to stop and go to the bathroom once because it made her have to pee. So what I learned is not every woman can do it.

I listened to a pornstar on a podcast one day who confirmed what we already pretty much knew that pornstars chug a bunch of water before the scene and then piss all over the place to fake squirting. You can tell because there’s way too much fluid to be real and it’s this thick stream of piss like when I go.

I found a video of a lady who I think is doing the real thing. It wouldn’t make a lot of sense to chug a bunch of water and piss all over her hotel room for a 4 minute amateur video that’s not even well shot. Also it looks like a way smaller stream of clear or almost milky looking fluid and it just comes out in two little spurts. I would think stopping and starting again while pissing would be rough on the bladder and be painful if it works for women like it does Men. ( I tried to link the video but wasn’t allowed) if you want to watch it just go to XVideos. Com and search:

  • I don't squirt a lot or even too often, but it has happened a few times.
To me at least, the urge to pee is like the urge to empty the bladder; the urge to squirt comes from much lower down.
Also, I can hold back a pee if I need to; I can never hold back a squirt.

  • Good take RJ.

As with most porn, it gives people the wrong perception of reality. I believe that squirting for girls is real... but also pretty damn rare. I only know of one person IRL that says she does it - it she was embarrassed by it to the point of asking her gyno doc.

Anyway, I've seen so many guys here on GaG that somehow think that most "real" female orgasms create some sort of physical "mess" that requires clean up... like a male... and that's just simply wrong. Some even seem to think that for a girl to "cum" means that something has to ejaculate.

    Anyway...👍

    • Well I must be as rare as a unicorn then 😜💦

    • @Goodwifie maybe so. ;0

    • Thank you for sharing. I agree.

  • I hate it when some doctors call the gspot protates lol. Its just funny. And guys come out the same hole they pee and literly the prostate sits below their bladder. Its just like when they come im sure their is pee.

  • I was in a long term relationship with a woman who was a squirter. I have been with a number of ladies and she was the first squirter I had the opportunity to know (cool... at first). The squirting came out of her urethra, and she would squirt a lot! Towels could not hold it and we had to get puppy pads. Even then, if she was really aroused, we would have to change the pad out. Either I was really good at oral, which I am, or she was really sensitive, which she was.
Her squirting was more like a faucet. I would say it usually was clear with some yellow mixed in. Sometimes it did smell like pee.
As a side note, I did find that it was a bit of a hassle to have to always have a puppy pad around otherwise she would soak the bed.

  • Three siblings who are physicians, one happens to be a gynecologist... they all agree it's pee.

  • I've also done some research on this, and never found a definitive answer. So I basically now agree with what you said: is squirt pee? Yes and no.

Whatever it is, it's pretty hot.

@Cinderelli you should read this xD

    • I still believe it's pee.. becsuse it comes out of urethra.. it's only called "squirting" because it is released upon an intense orgasm... same reason why our orgasms are more intense if we hold in pee before doing something sexual... because it puts more pressure on the bladder.. I don't know about others but sometimes when you pee after a long time... it feels so good.. closer to what you feel during an orgasm.. hehe 😁😁😁

  • Some interesting research, good job - the question intrigued me too :D

  • If a woman during orgasm creates a minor amount it is safe to say that it comes from the glands known as Skene's. They are located near the output of the urethra. They are always involved when any squirting occurs. They carry the PSA antigen and other benchmarks of prostatic fluid. Major squirting is urine plus the output of the Skene's glands. That is why people say that major squirting is not urine. They get confused because they are measuring some output from Skene's. During a major orgasm with major output that volume occurs because the bladder fills up. But again Skene's glands are involved along with output from the bladder. Disregard the blogger who said that the volume comes from the vagina. Major squirting events can be embarrassing and I have treated patients who come to me asking for a solution so they do not squirt

  • Inconclusive was all I needed to hear! Done!

  • My first reaction to this was "women don't have prostates. Do women have prostates?" So I looked and found this, which supplements what you said. Thanks for teaching me something I didn't know!
