I have friends who are clingy with their boyfriends and I don't want to be that, but what if I am and I don't even realize?

My friend is extremely clingy. Everyday she wears the necklace her boyfriend gave her. She calls him EVERY night to say goodnight, no matter how late it is. It's fine, I'm in a similar boat. This girl I started dating pretty much distanced herself from me and I think it's because she thinks I started getting clingy. We were close friends beforehand and talked everyday online so I resumed normal everyday chatter and I'd ask her when I'd see her and when I could visit since she just moved to college which she asked me to visit while we were on a date. Bam, now she barely talks to me.

In my opinion it's when a guy doesn't give me space. I might be really attracted to him but if he's sending me txt after txt and I haven't even responded to the 1st one, that's clingy. Or if he calls me all the time. If a guy is too clingy, it's as if he's too available and that isn't attractive at all. Just go by what you consider clingy..would you want a girl blowin up your phone and never wanting to leave your side? Most likely not, so just follow what you think is right.
