What are the chances of being pregnant after getting your period?

About one week - one fourth part of your period cycle from starting of period and almost the same period of time before it is considered safe period - difficult to get pregnant. If your cycle is of 28 days - you will have about two weeks safe period. The science is - most women ovulate around middle of two cycles, that is day 14 or 15th day in this example. Sperm survives for maximum 48 hours inside woman body - if reached to uterus. Time of ovulation of egg and penetration of sperms into uterus play a very important role, and couple need to manage this cycle to get baby conceived at particular time. It is really about perfect timing and nature`s permission.

It is impossible. Are you sure that bleed was period? Some women have implantation bleeds when the zygote implants into the endometrium. Clues are that was it not her dates, was it more painful than normal, was there less blood, was it for a shorter duration etc.

Your cycle starts on the first day of your period, and most women typically ovulate around day 14. That could be sooner if you have a shorter cycle. So if you have your period for 7 days, and you ovulate on day 10, it's possible that the sperm could hang out for long enough to cause a pregnancy.

Sperm usually only survives for about 24-48 hours inside the uterus however. And for this reason, combined with the couple days a month a woman ovulates, it's amazing so many people get pregnant at all lol It's really about perfect timing. However, unless you know your timing, it's just better to be safe about it.

It depends when you ovulate. Sperm can live up to 3-5 days after intercourse and if you happen to ovulate during those days you could get pregnant. It really depends on your cycle. Girls with a short cycle can even get pregnant while they're on their period.

I don't think you can get pregnant right after your period.

However!

The sperms can stay alive inside the vaginal for about 7 days so... just because it's the end of your period doesn't give an excuse for unprotected sex.
