All other relationships, about 3 weeks. Even though adults gain more patience and wisdom in our age, waiting for sex is not one such criteria. We've been thru that "Hard To Get" game back in high school, not cute or funny at all in our 30's +. This means either come with it or step out.
No, men don't always hit the road once they get the "goods". Take myself for example. I'm not a very good player; ranked #4th WORST player in the nation. This means I am not very successful with getting women(Canadian sex workers not withstanding). So any time I get to home plate with a woman...I want to keep her. Why play 1-nighters when the very next day, it's the same crap: alone and searching again.
As you can see, there is much more to work for with a woman after sex. How about a continuous thing for starters? How about love? Afterall, a woman doesn't have sex with just any man right?
I would probably wait quite a while if she could convince me to. I do not believe in waiting until after marriage, and will not. I think marriage is a much bigger deal than having sex, and you're not going to marry someone you don't want to have sex with (gold diggers excluded). The "I'm not ready" argument does not apply as if you're not ready to have sex, you're not ready to get married. I am way too atheist to accept a religious reason when it comes to my situation.
That being said, I'd probably wait quite a while, if she for whatever reason was not ready again, but was at least willing to talk about it. If she's not willing to at least talk about why she wants me to wait then I don't see the relationship going anywhere.
I have a friend who still hasn't had sex with her boyfriend, and they've been going out for months now. She's a virgin, and it's not that she wants to save it for marriage necessarily but she has some issues I won't get into. He cares about her enough for it not to matter utmost to him, although I'm sure it's probably wearing on him.

Well first what is your definition of sex? Foreplay as well or just intercourse? If we are talking about intercourse, I will wait till whenever she is ready. My most recent ex I waited a year and half... which I wish I wouldn't have done it with her in the first place because I found out later she cheated on me, but its too late now. But if I get into a new relationship, and lets say the new girlfriend is a virgin, I will wait till she's ready, if she wants to wait till marriage then looks like one of two things... one, I will never have sex with her, or two... looks like her and I are going to get married and then have sex

It happened that one promised a lot but finally backed off. I did back off too. Not really breaking up with a row and a big fight and discussion over it, just seeing each other less and less until another came by.
Those things don't have to be dramas, I'll never hand out an ultimatum. I just become less interested. Most of the time she 'd know why and be happy with it since our expectations didn't match.
That depends on who she is and on which one of us started the "more than a friend" contact.
If she started it I'd have less patience.
Waiting till marriage is a big deal I'm 23 and I'm still waiting for the day its all about the trust and live between the two my girlfriend is all for me and is so giddy about the idea she loved it when i told her that so there is guys out there willing to wait were just a dying breed cause the world has gotten so shallow and it's pitiful!
I can hold off till marriage, that's what I'm doing now at least. I've had a lot of chances but I've passed on all of them because it's important to me to wait. That's definitely not all guys though who probably would wait three months or at least that's the pattern I've seen with my friends. It really shouldn't matter to you though about how long the guy is willing to wait or he's gonna break up with you, if he's going to do that he isn't really worth it.
Also if the guy sleeps with you and then ends things, you'll regret it, so don't just do it with any random guy make sure he actually matters. I'm not saying wait until marriage like I am because everyone makes their own choices and I respect that but just make sure you are not just doing it to do it or so that he doesn't break up with you.
