My boyfriend says that I have a little ball feeling thing up in my vagina, what could this be?

My boyfriend says that I have a little ball feeling thing up in my vagina, what could this be? I'm not a virgin at all, and haven't been for a few years. Does anyone know what this is? Is it normal or do I need to get it checked out?

  • I'm a nursing student and I've worked as a MA for a few years and I've never heard of this before. Have you ever gotten a pap smear done? It's probably a good idea to do it EVERY year when you are sexually active. My suggestion would be to go to your doctor and tell them the same thing you said here. There's nothing wrong with discussing something you're concerned about so don't be embarrassed. They will most likely refer you to a female gynecologist who is going to want to check you out. Make sure that you tell them you are/have been sexually active and with how many guys so they can help you as much as possible. Good luck!

  • It's your cervix. Your boyfriend could feel it because you weren't sexually stimulated, when you are stimulated your cervix goes up and when you aren't it hangs down, so normally it hangs down - you have nothing to worry about!

If you're really concerned talk to your GP about it.

    • I'm a nurse and have been for 6 years. I agree with this answer. Not sure about the hanging part tho? Your cervix (located deep in the vagina) can sometimes be felt digitally according to where you are in your cycle and blood flow and stimulation. Other than the cervix the only other thing that comes to mind is your g-spot, which is located about an inch into your vagina (toward your abdomen). Your boyfriend should leave the cervix alone and pay attention to the g-spot! No worries. Have fun! :0)

    • I could be wrong but isn't the cervix contracting and dipping slightly into the vagina during an orgasm or stimulation in order to aid in conception? Supposedly it is supposed to help the sperm move along. Then again its been awhile since I studied biology.

    • Ionlife, yes it does do that, or almost. It's the vagina that contracts to aid the sperm's movement further upward and towards the cervix. The contractions also bring the cervix into contact with the vaginal walls in hopes of aiding fertilization. Anon question asker, did you say that it was during orgasm that he can feel this 'ball feeling thing'? Anyhoo, I say it's either the cervix or g-spot. Get checked if you're worried, but I doubt it's anything to worry over.

  • No you shouldn't get it checked out! Every girl has it in them! Its normal its supposed to be there! So don't worry about it and tell him not to worry about it either because it is normal for a girl!

  • Don't pay any attention to what these people tell you. If there is something abnormal in you have your doctor check it. In there is a trouble prone area. Don't gamble your life on what these strangers tell you about something they have never seen or felt.

  • As Griglo said, it may be the elusive g-spot or urethral sponge. It feels more like a rough / textured area rather than a ball but everyone describes it differently. You may want to also discuss this with your doctor.

  • I'm assuming he's felt it with his fingers right?

Have him apply pressure to it. Tell him to apply pressure and to go faster.

    Do you like it?

If you do, girl, that's your g-spot.

  • I'm no doctor, nor am I (obviously) female, but anything abnormal, yeah you should probably go get it checked out with a gynecologist. That would be my friendly advice.
