-In Europe oral is considered closer to full sex than it seems to be considered in the US.
-Making out CAN come very close to full sex.
-In church Law (some churches at least), oral sex is considered to be sodomy. ('in vas non naturale'-Latin for 'not in the natural recipient'- was the ancient definition of 'sodomy' and some churches still see it that way)
The personal experience you asked for:
We were 20 when we started dating. We kissed after a week (or 3-4 days?) started making out a week or two later but didn't have full sex until 6 months after meeting each other. I don't know when we started oral, after a month or so I suppose.
-It could have gone faster (she told me that later ;)) but I didn't want to seem too eager and I found it normal she wanted to wait.
As people grow a bit older and more experienced they will want//expect/accept full sex earlier. They might also be more understanding.
Remember, it's your body, your feelings and your boyfriend has to respect that.

I usually wait depending on how close to him I am and how much I trust him. There isn't really a length of time as it just depends on the judgments of his actions and behavior leading to how comfortable I feel with him to do something sexually intimate together.
It depends on the personality of the person that I start gaining more knowledge from, as I know some people would use others for sex as a motive to fulfill their needs and other people are genuinely driven by love as well as sexual intimacy.
I'm 20 and I don't intend to have sex before marriage. I think its better to wait for a connection to develop before having sex. if your guy can't stand this then you're in the wrong relationship. not having sex says a lot about the type of person you both are and is a good indicator of whether things will work out or not...in my opinion.
im only 18 and still a virgin. I haven't had a true relationship yet, but I imagine that when I do, sex will come when both of us are ready. beliefs and morals play an important part on deciding when and with whom. maybe she is waiting until marriage? if you love each other then respect regarding when to have sex will flow both ways =]]

well, I'm 16...and from experience its better the longer you wait. sex can complicate things and sometimes guys loos interest after if you start having sex to fast in a relationship...i usually wait about 2 months just to be safe
