Labia plasty,Is It A Good Idea? What Is It Like? Any Experiences?

So,I'm 18 and a virgin.I've always been self conscious about how I looked "down there" I've noticed I don't look like the girls in the videos,i've asked my gynecologist and she says I'm healthy and "normal" and there's nothing wrong with me down there, but I've always found the way I look down there unattractive. It's nothing extreme, like nothing is sagging or hanging or anything weird like that(no offense). It's just,i hate wearing bathing suits or shorts, cause it isn't really my labia but I guess you could consider the area,um,this is a stupid word to describe it but "plump".And if I wear thongs/g-strings,bathing suits, short shorts,i guess that area,"sticks out" and that area isn't like the girls in the videos. So I'm considering labia plasty, and wondering about past experiences with it and what it's like and if it's worth it?

I've been insecure about this my whole life. This isn't something I just magically thought about yesterday ok.What is wrong with plastic surgery? No one complained when Pam Anderson and Megan Fox got breast implants,at least I'm not doing it for show

  • Well as long as you are not intimidated by the medical community, you go to the groinocologist, and you don't seem bothered by the thought of surgery, why don't you first give a good psychologist a shot at you. You have been examined and deemed normal by a professional box doctor, so can you entertain the thought that in reality the problem is more between your ears than between your thighs?

    • Why can't you just answer the question and not be a smart ass?I'm asking a simple Q

    • Because you would benefit more from having your head examined and learning to accept yourself than from information about getting your labia trimmed.

    • Excuse me?So I'm supposed to live with something that makes me insecure.I bet if I was talking about getting breast implants your ass would be quick to give advice

  • No offense, but at least half the questions on this site are about penis size, and asked by guys who think their penises are inadequate, and thus feel insecure. Would you advise they all get plastic surgery? Who would you tell them they're obsessing over something that doesn't matter?

    • Meant to say OR would you tell them they're obsessing over something that doesn't matter.

    • I didn't just pull this idea outta my ass yesterday or an hour ago.I've never liked how I look down there ok,it makes me feel insecure. So why fck you and everyone else on here are lecturing is out of my mind. You all act like plastic surgery is the end of the world yet none of yall are complaining about how the "sexiest people on earth" have had obvious plastic surgery just for show.I'm doing it for personal reasons and insecurity

    • I never said you were rushing into it. I said that you are obsessing over something nobody else cares about. You're suddenly going to feel better about yourself because your labia are slightly smaller? Give me a break. So what if you don't look like Megan Fox? Does that mean that you should get plastic surgery til you look just like Megan Fox? (and I frankly don't see why Megan Fox enters into this, I don't think she's attractive at all, likewise Pam Anderson, who looks like a cheap whore)

  • I'm against unnecessary surgery, especially for reasons that could be fixed with some therapy. This is not a BS answer. You're having some body image issues that a good psychologist could really help you with. And if you are worried about it showing when wearing certain things, don't wear them. I'm sure you can find a bathing suit that covers the area and try some longer shorts.

    • Yea it is a bs answer

    • And am I supposed to go through life not wearing certain things? And I never said my labia was hanging so why the hell would I wear longer shorts?

  • I am also a female. I’m 26. I feel insecure about the way I look down there so much that it affects whether or not I engage in sexual acts. I’m sure part of the trauma comes from an abusive relationship I was in. I was pretty much physically attacked. Also verbally dragged. Through humiliation. I fear I won’t get into another relationship due to this insecurity amongst others.

  • Nobody looks like "girls in the videos", assuming you're talking about porn. Porn is fake. Everyones vagina looks different. Having a "plump" one is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of.

    • My answer is serious. Don't do it.

    • All I asked for was past experiences and what it is like. All the BS cliche speeches in the world and therapy doesn't help insecurity and I'm insecure about this, and I will have labiaplasty.Had I asked about botox or a face lift,no one would be complaining about anything.plastic surgery exists for a reason, why not use it to my advantage

    • I would warn you against getting any sort of plastic surgery, actually, regardless of what it was for, and I think most other people would too, especially considering your age.

What Girls & Guys Said

  • Watch a free online documentary called "The Perfect Vagina", there is a girl who goes through the procedure on the film and it is quite graphic and she describes what she went through.

  • u shouldn't do it

u won't feel anything during sex if you do

and trust me ur guy will love you just the way you are

    • But you are doing it for show when ur in the bedroom or wearing "bathing suits or shorts...thongs/g-strings,bathing suits, short shorts" because you don't like how you look now so you wanna change it so then you can wear these things more confidently yes?

    • I'm not doing it so the world will find me sexy or approve of what I look like,i'm doing it for me.And is the world going to see?No

    • Well the world won't see but someone will see and you should feel sexy the way you are but when that someone will see you want them to see a perfect vagina but I'm sure the guy will love you for who are and not the plastic surgery you receive

  • Your normal and have nothing to feel insecure about.
I would never recommend surgery for this, take your gyno's advice as she has seen many many vaginas and knows what she's talking about.

  • The "girls in the videos" fake it all because when you cut off your labia you risk losing pleasure in your entire vulva. It's not worth it at all!

  • Dont do it! If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Ur 18 for gods sake, it can't look that bad compared the sluts ur comparing yourself to in porn.

Not to mention, guys love a big plump p**** anyways, more to play with and enjoy.
