Curvy - has curvature to her body shape. Curvy =/= fat. However, overweight people can also be curvy, but again that is to describe their whole body shape. Having 10 curves due to multiple fat rolls does not make a woman curvy, it makes her obese, PERIOD.

"Fat" is not a real medical adjective. Someone could be overweight or obese, or morbidly obese, etc. The term "Fat" is very subjective.

If "fat" means "in the state in which body fat has accumulated around the body and face to the point that the sexual features of the person in question are obscured," then that's a little different.

You opinion is the correct view of curvy. It has to do with the hip to waist ratio not the weight of the person. I think a lot of overweight people to make themselves feel better say they are curvy when they are really just overweight. Marilyn Monroe is curvy the top model is not she is overweight.

According to fashion experts that is the definition. The first picture is a woman that is full figured according to fashion definitions as well. The people that determine that are the experts in the field of fashion just like a physicist will make definitions of scientific terms within their realm of expertise. The first model does not have a defined waist therefore she is not curvy, because curvy is an hourglass shape.

@Anno_domini Your waist-bust ratio and waist-hip ratio are BOTH 0.7. This means your waist is 70% the size of your bust and 70% the size of your hips. An example is 43-34-43 or 38-28-39. It's okay if your bust is 2 to 3 inches more than your hips or your hips 2 to 3 inches more than your bust.

If you want fat, you should see some of the paintings of ideal women from a few hundred years ago. What is considered ideally attractive changes over time.

It's a little misleading to say that people thought of very overweight women from centuries ago as being physically attractive. Dying from starvation, or be dwindled to a stick figure from disease, was quite common even just a century ago. Body fat was a buffer against likely death and thus a good characteristic to find in a spouse, in much the same way that people searched for rich husbands/wives in order to have a successful marriage. It's true that there is little biological reason for men to be repulsed by women with relatively little excess body like the ladies in the pictures. Wanting ultra-thin girls is mostly a cultural development. However, almost all men are attracted to the sexual characteristics of a woman's face and body, which body fat can obscure if there is too much of it. There is evidence that this has been the case for a long time, because painters centuries ago made portraits of so-called "beautiful girls" with similar standards to what we would judge.
