I'm a virgin by the way! Last week a guy fingered me vaginally, and it hurt so I asked him to stop. After a little while he did it again and it hurt again after a few minutes. I went to the bathroom afterwards and there was a little bit of blood on the toilet paper. The next morning when I went to go to the bathroom there was even more in my panties. I know it wasn't from my period. Did he break my hymen? Or could it have been from a sharp fingernail? Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Tore your hymen and was being too rough or you weren't moist enough if you told him to slow down he was just not being gentle and you could have been really tight and small. Hymens never go away or fully rip they only stretch so yes if it is stretched too quickly and aggressively without proper lubrication and force then it will bleed a little and will sting.

Have you fingered before? Guys have bigger fingers then girls so even if you have fingered he could still tear your hymen a big and depending on what type of hymen you have there are different types. You seem to be tight and small which is okay and not a biggy just tell him to take it easy next time and let your body adjust to whatever size is being inserted can't force something like that. It clearly will hurt I know most girls know some pain like that but yes communicate this with him so you will be comfortable next time. I have fingered myself multiple times (and I do have small hands) and one other guy has very lightly before, but never like that. I always work my way up slowly when I finger myself because I almost exclusively just used my clit up until the last year or so. There probably won't be a next time though for him lol. I wasn't doing it right. Sometimes when my boyfriend fingers me it hurts, so I get him to adjust the angle or if he's rubbing me on the inside too hard. I've bled a few times from being fingered, probably a scratch or something.

You're not supposed to bleed, so he did something wrong. It's probably only minor. If you're still bleeding after 3 days, then you should get it checked.
