I think building up to this kind of stuff would probably be best. How fast you go will probably depend on his personality. If he is usually open and a fun loving guy, it probably won't take long. If he is uncomfortable with something you suggest early on, you will start to get an idea what his tolerance level is. Besides, if you rush into the hard stuff fast, then what new things will you have to try next time?
