Why do guys hate periods?

I would say for several reasons and would depend on the guy. It is a bodily function like going to the bathroom. Any bodily function can easily be seen as gross, yet women will talk about their periods as if it is somehow different than her bladder. It is the kind of subject that should be kept private.

While I don't find periods gross, I do think that it is boring when women talk about them. Then women think it grosses me out and keeps talking about them, which is really disrespectful. Or they try to show the guy is wimped by forcing him to go to the store to buy tampons. While I don't have an issue buying them I do have a problem with women disrespecting me. I think a lot of guys see women talking about periods or asking for tampons as an act of disrespect.

There is also a lot of women that use it as an excuse to mistreat guys. They treat us like shit, and then think they shouldn't even need to apologize, because we should understand they are on their period. So a lot of guys see it as an excuse women use to act cruel to men.

Women also use it as an excuse to not have sex, which is bound to effect how a man views periods.

If you take it all in together, you might be able to figure out why guys dislike the subject of periods.

Y'know you had me at most parts but when you mentioned that women use periods as an excuse to get out of sex, y'really lost me. Maybe we use it as an excuse because saying no straight up is harder. Plus, if she doesn't want to have sex you should respect that.

It is a bodily function that is gross, smells so foul, and when you see red blood mixed with green, yellow, white mucous caught up in the folds of skin plus bits of toilet paper, it has put me off so much. There is always a smell from a woman's vagina, some extremely unpleasant, but a newer far more fouler smell invades the house, curtains, room etc... with the worst smell I have ever smelled and it seems to linger in the air for such a long time. Why talk about you bodily functions with other people all the time and stop using it as an excuse to be an absolute bitch on top of it all. A disgruntled male who is totally put off by menstruating unhygienic females !!!

Girls get moody due to the hormonal change, it's understandable the way some of them behave, but it's not something we really enjoy. Not saying I'm gonna leave my girlfriend with the pain, she's my girlfriend, I'd have to suck it up and comfort her, but still, it's not something I enjoy. I just hope my future girlfriend won't have periods too painful.

Because they don't know how to act around their sisters/mothers/friends/girlfriends/wives. They are afraid to say the wrong thing and end up walking on eggshells around them. Also a lot of girls do not want to have sex on their period but some do.

Perhaps, "... littering the bathroom with dick tampons..." was too vague. I didn't mean literally throwing tampons all over the bathroom. I meant to convey the grossness of walking into the a bathroom, only to see a trashcan full of tampons (not to mention taking the bathroom trash out, blech). I would assume the situation is a bit exaggerated for me, living with 5 girls, but the effect is the same.

1) women tend to get really bitchy during those time. plus mood swings. so they can go the opposite way also. guy's don't handle crying well. and we don't like bitchy. Not that I am blaming them but that happens
2) It is disgusting and gross. You may not want to hear it but it is. I was around 42 before I could bring myself mentally to be ok with trying sex during a period time. The thought disgusted me so much before that. Now I have never done it at the worst time, only the very beginning or end. I don't know I ever could handle it during the worst time. But the woman I am with.. who if she doesn't dump me I know I will eventually marry, had a hysterectomy. I think that means no periods? I don't know but I have never heard her talk about them. so Hopefully I will never have to deal with them again lol

Sorry but I am an old guy.,,,, what is 'man spreading' ? also, if you had a penis and balls, you would understand how uncomfortable it is when they get tucked in wrong. Also you will never know the pain balls can cause. You need to adjust to make sure serious shit does not happen to hurt any of the little guys. It comes down to hormones. Our hormone levels rapidly change during that part of the cycle and it fucks with the mind, seriously. Some women are not affected at all but others are badly affected by it so much that a doctor needs to intervene. Hormone levels rapidly spike during the early stages of pregnancy as well, and also the brain and body are adjusting to growing and supporting a baby. It usually levels out for most women after the first stage is over. Your observation sounds more like a personal experience rather than what all women go through. And a hysterectomy is the complete removal of the woman's reproductive organs - usually just the uterus but sometimes the ovaries and the cervix as well. So yeah, she's not going to have periods at all again in her life.

Its not the period that we don't like. Its a common misinterpretation that ALL girls act like bitches, and are horribly mean when they are on their period. Well i know that this isn't true for ALL girls, but it is true for SOME.

I honestly don't mind periods, I'm helpful to girls that trust me with knowing when they are on their period, I would even go to get them tampons and pads and chocolate and anything they want really when they are on their period. #loveperiods
