Is it true that white women in general age badly?

Do you think that white women in general age quite badly and struggle to maintain their attractiveness over a long period of time. It may not be true for all but maybe for majority of them or is this just a misconception?

  • Generally, there are various issues that are dependent on race. The lighter your skin, the more visible sun damage will be (which is the main cause external cause of aging). Contrary to popular belief, a tan is not a sign of healthy skin. Rather, it is the opposite. As most countries with darker skin colours did not have the early 20th century turnabout from holding pale skin as a beauty ideal, to tanned skin, people from non-western countries also do not enjoy tanning their skin, and therefore do not expose their skin to more sun damage. Also, Black and Asian skin tend to have a thicker and denser dermal layer and there is a higher concentration of collagen, which means age-related skin deterioration does not affect their skin like it does Caucasian skin. i. e. They don't wrinkle as much as Caucasian skin.

Also, in more modern terms, East Asian (China, Korea, Japan, etc.) skin care technology is years ahead of their Western counterparts in terms of research and implementation. Good skin is held up as a holy grail of beauty over there.

    • yes you could be very well true that Caucasian skin is not that good in tolerating extreme sun. Africans and Indians on the other hand I think are quite adapt to extreme heat and weather.

    • The main issue in the end is skin composition. That decides how tolerant you are of UV radiation, and how early you begin to lose elasticity in your skin.

    • Thanks for MHO.

  • I think it all depends on how good care they take of their skin and the diet, my mom for instance is in her 50s but she looks at least 10 years younger than she really is - but I think other than Asian people who age really well people of all races have certain difficulties as they get older - And yes, I said people since women are not the only ones that age ;)

  • its just a misconception, the people who age quickly tend to be the ones caked in foundation or out on the sun beds or those who drink and smoke heavily throughout their lives. i know plenty of white women in their 40s who still look in their late 20s its all about how you take care of your skin rather than your race or gender

  • Nein. It's true to say that the 'Western diet' (ie the one based on refined grains and oils, refined sugar, too much meat and dairy, over consumption in general) is bad. This makes people feel sick on a day to day basis, and thus, people age much faster - my view. This is a cultural thing, not strictly a genetic one. Women who take care of themselves in general (independent of race) look good into their 30s and 40s, even beyond. The Okinawans and certain Asian cultures were famed for their longevity and beauty. As they adopt our bad habits, things may change?

    • Probably true. I've heard too much meat consumption is never good for health.

  • It's not totally a misconception. What makes us all "age" is the sun and gravity. Darker skin protects from the sun better. Well obviously white women aren't dark are they?

However, I've seen older white women who are very attractive. In general it's kinda true despite the in-denial people are about it.

    • yes I also think that there are always going to be attractive Caucasian women in their 40s or even 50s but that is rare. Not all women are going to look like her in their late 40s

  • I think it's a misconception. Thing is just that some women don't take care of their skin and therefor they age worse.

  • yes due to skin being more prone to sun ray damage and being generally thinner than most races.

  • No, I don't think they do. I think they age badly only if they use excessive quantities of makeup that screws over their skin.

  • I would say a misconception

  • Yeah, it is a misconception. We have stereotypes, blck women get fat... a lot do... white women get all wrinkley and fat... a lot do... Asian women look like men when old... a lot do but there are plenty from all races that look great.

If it really interests you, send me a message and remind me about this and ill send you a picture of a 51 year old woman I was dating who looks fabulous. there are a lot out there

  • Not all.
Many may look like they age faster and are older than they actually are because of the chemical in their skin pigmentation

And then you have other factors like if they smoke, genetics, how much sun exposure, how much water they drink, etc

I don't want to say majority because I don't really know. Most older white women I've seen look older than they actually are.

    • yeah even i've seen quite a lot of white women in their 30s who look quite old, haggard and wrinkly. So I was wondering. These women used to look so attractive in their early 20s and late teens.

    • Yeah! And it also depends on how they dress. The way MANY women, not just white, dress in a way that makes them look older.

  • Most MILF's are white, actually.

  • This may be true, sorry to say.
