so I would never really have the courage to get my tongue split, however I think it could be completely handy when giving oral! my boyfriend said he would be too disgusted by it to be turned on, what do you think?

2) You couldn't control "each side" of your tongue. You can control the overall muscle.

3) It would feel awkward making out with someone that had "half a tongue" in one spot, and another half in a different spot (indicating the split)

4) Eating food would suck, you'd always be biting your tongue

Thank you for the clarification but #2 above says: "You can control the overall muscle." This means that as a muscle group, your brain is only trained to control the average group - it's not trained for "hacks" like splitting your tongue.

It's actually completely possible to train yourself to control BOTH sides of a split tongue, with practice. I've seen it done.

The brain is trained for the overall tongue, yes - there are methods to do "ANYTHING" (within reason) to your body, and get an outcome that isn't natural; however, walking down the street - do you see someone move "both sides of their tongue"? The answer is no - On average, people do not like the "split tongue" affect. Per another comment here: "One tongue per person, not two!"

I don't know why you're so just dead on about "the overall muscle" dude you literally have to learn how to use your body as a child. It's the same thing. The fact that you are trying to point out that you can't "independently move them" is your definition of that. I'm very sure there are no medical texts saying that they can't move independently, since that actually means they can move NOT in tandem.

I have a split tongue and have gone down on guys. They all like it a lot. I haven't had a complaint yet and I have total control of my tongue. Everyone here needs to slowdown on talking how it's like about how it's like to have it if you have never. Y'all are literally just spreading myths about it. Bodymods are a passion of mine and it's okay to not like something but to be wrong about it and think it as fact when you haven't done actual research is lame. It depends on who you're talking to but it apparently just feels like two separate tongues that are a little smaller like he's getting kissed by two tongues. My boyfriend loves the stimulation. People literally get this mod for this reason. Also I can eat food totally fine I just sometimes bite my tongue cause I did that before getting the tongue split. You know your tongue is used for a lot more important things then just oral sex. It helps in speech and eating among other things. So before you go do that you might want to think about are you willing to loose those abilities just so some guy will have an awesome blow job.
