OK, so I am a virgin. I have never been fingered and no guy has gone down on me either. I masturbate quite frequently, though. However, I never put anything "up there" such as my finger or a vibrator or anything. I just use my hands on my clit. My question is, if I have never had intercourse before, if I put a vibrator in or a dildo or even my own finger, will I pop my own cherry? And does it hurt? I'm kinda scared to but I really want to. And you know how guys always say that its a big plus to be a girl's first, to have sex with a virgin. Would they think I'm not a virgin if I do this? Would they even know? plz&ty =)

If you use something small (like a finger) at first, and are gentle, you can stretch out your hymen rather than "popping" it.

Your hymen has one or more holes in it, to allow fluid (eg. your period) to pass through.

Depending on the characteristics of your own unique hymen, you may be able to put a finger inside you without changing your hymen at all. You can use a tampon without breaking your hymen, so...

Some women have very strong, stretchy hymens which never break (even after childbirth!).

For the most part, your hymen is thin, flimsy, and virtually invisible. You probably can`t tell it`s there, so you probably won`t tell when it`s gone either.

Also, it isn`t simply breaking the actual hymen that can cause discomfort/pain. Your whole vagina will have to stretch and learn to accommodate having something inside it.

Unless you`re preserving your hymen for moral reasons (in which case engaging in sexual activity defeats the purpose), there`s no reason at all to worry about your hymen specifically.

Even if you've never had sex, your hymen could have already broken or dissolved naturally (ex. through continuous bike riding). If that's the case, there won't be blood. It will still be a little uncomfortable at first, however. If your hymen is still intact, it will most likely hurt and bleed. You won't be able to break it with your finger, and you'll have to consciously break it with a vibrator. If you decide to do it, make sure you're relaxed and use plenty of lube (have extra handy since your nerves might make you dry).

A guy won't think or know that you're not a virgin if: He's not an idiot and knows that virginity is not always accompanied by a hymen, and if you tell him you are a virgin. Hopefully your first time is with someone you're comfortable with and you've told him you're a virgin.

Just make sure you're really wet and lube the vibrator good. Take things slow and there shouldnt be any problems. You might break your hymen but its not a big deal. Its not as highly thought of as some might think. It can be kinda gross to some actually.. with the blood and all.

some girls don't have a hymen at all. And you could have already punctured it doing sports. This is what happened to me. I used to compete in gymnastics and one day I tried a new skill on the beam... it hurt and that's when it happened. More than likely you have already punctured it but you can actually feel a flap of skin (if its still there) if you look in the right spot.
