My sister said I am getting pimples on my face because I am horny? Is that... true?

I am 19 and never had pimples before. I have 2 now and one more is developing. I am upset because it's very ugly 😭 . My sister started joking about it saying "I'm horny and that's why I am getting pimples". Is that... true? I never had sex before so I don't know. Am I supposed to be having sex? Stupid question I know but to avoid pimples am I suppose to? Is it even true?

1. My biggest pet peeve is when people whine about pimples bc I've had them sooo bad and I never ran around whining to people.
2. Another one of my pet peeves are wen people make fun of acne. Like you can't help that.

Don't worry it's 2 pimples. And it's not bc of "being horny". I got pimples when I was 12 and I didn't even know what sex was at the time. Besides it builds character.

If your worried about it try washing your face twice a day using some kind of face wash ( I liked proactive ). Try washing your pillow more and don't put any lotion or oils on your face. Stress could also be causing it. So try and relax. Adjust your diet bc if your eating a lot of unhealthy/ greasy/ oily/ sugary foods it could be causing you to break out. Maybe your period. Eating foods with more zinc can help. Fish oil pills help too ( I used codfish )

LOL no u dont have to have sex to get rid of pimples. they aren't just caused by being horny. they could happen due to stress, even ur period can play an influence, just oil build up in ur skin or even not taking care of ur skin properly. there r a number of creams available but i suggest natural remedies such as lemon juice.

Although, pimples can becaused by a number of things I have attributed them to being caused by HORMONES. I have mild acne from since I was 12 and am 25 , still have them but it isn't too bad. I am thankful because I've seen worse faces and I am not sexually active.

YES, YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE HAVING SEX! Don't listen to your sister, she's just giving you crap. While acne can definitely be caused by hormones - the same hormones that are making you horny - it does not mean that you should refrain from sex. Everyone one gets pimples during their teenage years. Many adults have pimples. At your age, you need not worry and please don't stop having sex or think that there is something wrong with you. Eat healthy, exercise, and use good skin care products and your pimples will fade on their own.

Lmao, being horny has nothing to do with it. Your still going through puberty, and the skin changes as well. Pimples and acne can be part of that change, I had some acne when I was 14. Teenagers have pimples more frequently, but you can expect the occasional pimple through out your adult life. I had one on my stomach of all places the other day. I also work in a trade, so I'm constantly in the heat and sweating. I get heat rashes, poison sumac, all the fun stuff.

Its not true. Pimples can be caused by a number of things. Hormones being one.. Which is probably why your sister said you were "horny". Sex relieves stress. Stress causes pimples. So they can be mixed up and used as an excuse but that is likely not the cause. Try some less stressful activities or things to alleviate your stress.
