How young? Notice that what's illegal there may not be illegal in some places. In my country the age of consent is 14 and relatioships between guys my age and 16 year old girls, for example, isn't considered weird, I have friends at my age with underage girlfriends. In the past girls got married when started having their periods, it's not at all close to reality to say that we don't think that girls under 18 are attractive, once they stop looking like children we do think they're attractive.
However, if your attraction is for children, then you got a problem. I suggest you to recognize your problem and seek treatment, it's just not normal.
There are probably a lot more people in your situation that will admit it. That is why "jailbait" is a word. The fact that you are looking for help is a big step. Seeking professional help is not a bad idea but keep in mind that being attracted to young girls does not make you a child molester. Unless you raped someone you have not done anything wrong.

Honestly, this is sorta depressing :( because you're right it is something you can't help. It's also something you can't act on. You simply have to deal with it and I know that sucks. There is a lot of research on this as its a neurological issue... Maybe they've had a medical break through. Thee may be support groups and or counseling for it... But over all it's just an attraction caused by something in your brain that didn't quite mature correctly...
Could you maybe tell your wife that you've been feeling stressed lately or something else along those line and wanted to talk to a professional to have someone unbiased to talk to? It would be best to talk to a professional, but you don't have to tell your wife exactly what you're going for. I know this is lying to her a bit, but this is one of the times when it might be better for everyone close to you if you did.
I would suggest you speak to a therapist. Before your desires impulse you to do something. There is a reason you think that way, let a therapist help find out why...

You absolutely MUST seek professional help. If that means that your wife finds out, then so be it. Either way, this issue has to take precedence.
All you need to do is realize certain things about what rationalize and internalize your disgust towards young girls. Things like, they are immature, they are not fully developed, it is illegal, they probably would be in extreme pain if you wanted to have sex with them and hurting them just sucks, etc.
You need help if you thinkof molesting your own children or niece/nephew too.
