What is your favorite form of birth control?

Birth control does not mean contraceptives. In ordinary speech, they may refer to the same thing, but in technical language, birth control is not contraceptive. Contraception is actually a branch of birth control, because it refers to anything that prevents conception. Contragestion is a branch that prevents implantation, which may or may not include a fertilized egg. Abortion is the branch that ends the progression of the developing child in utero, and it is induced by chemical, surgical, or hormonal means. Abstinence is also a form of birth control. Some people would argue that it is not, because you cannot use it during sex. I'd say, that's a smartass argument that initially sounds plausible, but upon close inspection, it fails to understand the meaning of birth control. The whole purpose of birth control is to prevent births, as well as venereal diseases. Given this premise, abstinence is most certainly birth control. Some people would argue that birth control methods would have perfect and typical use rates. What they do not understand is that once a person becomes sexually active, that person is no longer abstinent; therefore, a typical use rate coincides with perfect use rate. Abstinence does NOT mean avoiding birth control methods while having sexual contact, because the sexual activity itself defeats the purpose of abstinence and the lack of birth control methods other than abstinence is irrelevant. Lastly, some detractors argue that calling abstinence a birth control is tantamount to calling baldness a hair color. I'd counter-argue that this is just a fallacious comparison. Like I said, abstinence is birth control, because it prevents births and the spread of STI infections. Baldness, on the other hand, is not the prevention of hair color. It is the manifestation of an individual's genetics, and having those genes causes baldness. That said, what is your favorite form of birth control?

  • My first girlfriend taught me that a gentleman should always clean up after himself, meaning that if a woman allows a guy to ejaculate inside her, it's always his responsibility to go down on her - not only to ensure that she cums, but to lick his semen out of her. I never questioned it, and it seemed perfectly reasonable and honorable, given that she'd given me the privilege of cumming in her. It was the only birth control we used, and it proved completely effective.

Only after we broke up and dated other women did I learn that most guys wouldn't going down on their woman after ejaculating inside her, some women are put off by it, and some guys don't even enjoy going down on a woman at all. Most of the women I've dated, however, warm up quickly to having me clean them up, and we both enjoy the intimacy of uninhibited intercourse, orgasm, and natural birth control.

  • I had a vasectomy. But I'm a lot older than most of the guys here, you gotta be "constant as the northern star" that you don't want kids, and your significant other needs to be cool with it, because that anesthetic will leave you too impaired to drive home (In other words ladies, you don't have to worry about him doing this behind your back unless he's a habitual drunk driver). Being unexpectedly single again (widowed 18 months ago), I'll probably need to use condoms anyway for disease prevention, but I still stand by my final solution, because women my age should be wanting any more kids down the line.

  • I'm just gonna go with the pill here, I've been on it since I was about 14 and with my first partner of two years we used condoms for about 6 months until I worked out I had an allergic reaction to latex, so we stopped using them, I never got pregnant, I've been with my partner now for over 3 years and we've never used condoms, just the pill and I've never gotten pregnant, I'm lucky I guess, I'm also at the age now that if I did get pregnant it'd be a welcomed surprise.

  • I use Yaz and let to the man to end in me, and in a condom - in general awfully!!! we both we know that we are healthy and never no special problems with a health were not half-year we walk to the doctors on the inspection of different infections! (pharmacy-house. com/buy-online-yaz. php)

  • I am equipped with the rod in my arm, however I'd have prefered to use the hormone free option to avoid any of the side effects that hormonal BC tend to have (not that I've really encountered any bad ones thus far) but you know. You get what you're given I s'pose.

  • The only thing my boyfriend and I use is the pill. I take it carefully; it's extremely effective; and it lets us both experience the full sensations of intercourse and lets us have the extreme closeness and intimacy of him coming to orgasm in my vagina.

  • I don't use any at the moment, besides forced abstinence due to distance. I'm trying to give my body a break from the hormonal birth control I was just on. It was so terrible, I don't believe I want to even try another method besides Catholic roulette.

  • Birth control pills... but even these aren't 100% effective. It is always a risk no matter how you do it. And the penis needs to be clean too to prevent a bacteria transfer (most guys penises are unclean) so use an antibacterial penis health creme once a day. This will cover you in the hygiene department and lead to less complications and better sex. Hope this helps.

  • It is really up to the individual. But safe sex is the best sex so make sure to use condoms and/ or other forms of birth control. And controlling a bacteria transfer is key too.. so all guys should use an antibacterial penis health creme once a day for improved hygiene down there. I use one and it helps a lot. Cheers.

  • Hormonal, pills are the best.

    • All three of my kids were born on the pill. I think it was a combo of my wife fucking up and forgetting to take them, maybe on the first kid... but the other two I think were due to the pills not being of the proper dose.

    • @Thor696 It doesn't hurt to supplement the birth control pills with NFP, FAM, or the male/female condom. Using abstinence can be effective birth control.

    • At least pills don't reduce the pleasure, unlike condoms ;)
