I never got together with any of my crushes. I did that crush thing a lot when I was in school and might masturbate to some fantasy of them, that was very complicated.

I was always kind of a quick dater after school. If I start developing any kind of feelings for a girl, I ask her out before they grow into something more, as I don't want to torture myself developing infatuations over people with whom I have no idea how they feel about me. In some cases, I've asked to go on dates (but not calling them such) with women on the first day I was introduced to them. I'm mostly into the, "let's see if we develop feelings for each other on the date" kind of type.

Now I'm kind of evolving into a dirty old man. If I masturbate, it's easy to some visual reference like porno or maybe because some girl bent over and I caught a glimpse of her underwear or something like that -- visual reference library. It's no longer like some romantic fantasy when I was doing the crush thing, it's much more lewd.

I have never gotten together with a crush.  But yes, there have been many masturbation sessions involving the girls I fall for. Maybe that's the reason for futility? Maybe coincidence.
