all kinds of colors are normal. my penile glans, the top part, were purple for a long time. sometimes it still is. thats just bloodflow. so guys have purple too. but really there are so many different color changes. sometimes its more reddish. sometimes its more my natural skin tone. it just depends on the bloodflow.
but yes. i mind the color. i dont like really dark brown or black. pink is ideal to me. but thats a personal preference most guys dont seem to share with me. but really in the moment its not going to mean much. if he likes your skin tone he'll most likely not mind at all. thats what i think. I've never seen a deep purple vagina though. but I've seen a lot of vaginas. like. a lot. so i probably have seen it before but just didn't notice. chances are that you notice the color change but a guy never would. unless its really really deep purple. in other words you probably notice every little change and think its big but someone else wouldn't. after all theyre your parts.
but its good that you went to the gyno. if you think something is abnormal then get a doctor to check it. if s/he says its normal then chances are guys won't mind it. in most cases.
Please don't overthink this. Most women of color are NOT pink down there and no one expects them to be. My SO is AA and she has a beautiful vagina. Her vaginal lips are chocolate at the edges, it reminds me of the petals of a peace rose, and I LOVE the way it looks and tastes.
The thing it's that I'm not AA. So the color of it kinda scared me.

i know im not a guy so i can't answer the second part to this question but I would just agree with your gyno and let you know that it's very normal, brownish, purplish, pink, tan, etc etc it varies from woman to woman just like dick size etc.
It's normal for them too be a darker colour than the rest of your body, it's an area that folds and doesn't have any muscle really, so its totally normal and guys usually don't care about that, just that you're clean!
