Everytime i hear a bra size on here is usually 40DD or something like that.. thats the most common bra size I've ever heard. im not trying to shame anyone but is there anyone with a bigger size than D? D is the biggest cup size I've ever seen I've never seen anything bigger in person.. (im homeschooled, i dont get the chance to see) the biggest I've ever seen in person is almost a D and thats from my sister but i dont want to talk about them that way.. is there anyone bigger than D? again not judging if you aren't I've just never seen

What you are seeing is the effect of really shitty, unresponsive marketing to lazy consumers.

Mainstream US stores (like Victoria's Secret, and other stuff at that price point) generally don't carry anything bigger than DD cups, or sometimes DDD cups in some of the really really basic stuff.
For bigger cup sizes, you'd either have to go to a plus size store like Lane Bryant (which wouldn't have anythnig to fit slim busty girls anyway, OR pay $$$$ up the nose, OR both.

That's half the problem.

The other half the problem is that almost EVERY SINGLE young busty American girl is walking around in a bra that is THE WRONG DAMN SIZE.
Ever see how busty girls have that side-boob thing going on?
NOT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN.
How there's space between the middle of the bra and their chest? NOT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN.
How there's space between the underwire and their torso? NOT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN.

But... they don't know this, and no one tells them. And even if someone DOES tell them... well, a properly fitting bra is suddenly gna cost $70 instead of $20, so, yeah, fuck that, right?

On top of that, if you have a girl who SHOULD be wearing a size 28H or 30F bra... well, that 32DD from VS is going to be oh so much more fucking comfortable, bceause it's NOT SUPPORTING ANYTHING.
It's like anything else with orthopedics. If she's used to slouching, then, a proper fit is gna hurt! LOL

So, yeah, you have LOTS of girls wearing DD's who should actually be wearing F's and G's and H's of lower band sizes.
And, when they're my age, they'll have bad backs, and they'll slouch, and they'll have that armpit-roll fat thing. (That comes ONLY from badly fitting bras. Obviously, bodyfat does not move against gravity, so, where tf else would it come from?)

So, yeah, there's yr full explanation.

It's a chicken-and-egg problem.
The market doesn't carry the correct size, so, girls don't buy the correct size.
Girls don't demand the correct size, because (1) they don't know better (2) they're lazy (3) they associate anything bigger than DD with "fat girl". So the market correction doesn't happen.

I mean, I wear a size 32I bra (32G in British sizes), and I have to order them from overseas. I have breast implants, but I know LOTS and lots and lots and lots of women who are all natural and wear sizes like 28G and 30H and 28F and 32H and so on. Thank God for online.

Yeah. It means that young American women have zero clue how to wear bras that fit properly. A small part of it is their fault, for being lazy. MOST of it, though, is that the correct size doesn't exist in mainstream stores. I mean, American BOYS don't know how to wear a T-shirt that isn't 3 sizes too big, either... It's a misconception that over DD, E, F, G is "omg watermelon huge". I am a 30F or FF and this is what I look like: https://imgur.com/a/m71Li

The misinformation comes from the fact that before the 1950s you actually did pick a letter from A-D based on how large you felt your breasts were. However, the system of making bras changed so that the number represented the underbust and the letter was the difference between the bust and underbust. This gave people sizes they weren't familiar with so they simply just stuck to wearing bras with the idea of "A is small, D is large" even that's inaccurate.

The "D" simply means a 4 inch difference between bust and underbust. If you looked at my album you can see that my breasts are quite averaged sized and even I have a 7-8 inch difference. If someone has very large breasts they are not going to be a DD unless they have a very large band size as well (because cup size increase with band size). A 30FF has a smaller cup size/volume than a 40FF so the FF doesn't represent any specific volume amount. Bras are designed so that the cup volume is determined by the ratio between bust and underbust measurements. The letter is not a set cup volume but is instead used to describe the ratio. Imagine a rectangular prism that has a height of 4" and a base of 2"x2". The overall volume is 16 cubic inches. Now picture a prism that also has a height of 4" but a base of 3"x3". It has a volume of 36. Both prisms stick up 4" but because one has a larger base it will have a larger volume. The cup letter is like how many inches high the prism was and the band number is like how large the area the base of the prism was.

What is actually REALLY WEIRD is that while F, H and whatnot is a size. THEY DON'T MATTER. I recently got professionally sized and I was told I was an FF. But! The woman informed me that a triple D is literally the same thing. Stores only make you think only they carry that size so that you spend money there. And guess what. I got a 38 DDD and it fits ever so perfectly. So while girls tend to primarily be D. They may actually be larger but just adding D's will equal the other letters.

Then again, it depends on body type as well, you may not need to be that overweight but you'd generally need to be a bigger person. Most plus sized girls I know (250+) are C's and D's

To make things worse, there's also 2 systems, in common use, which are pretty close to each other (just like US and UK shoe sizes are about 1 number apart for dudes, and like 3-3.5 numbers apart for us). Fun! Not to mention that even that distinction isn't sacred -- on a couple of my Freya bras, the UK size is printed under both "US" and "UK". :s
