I felt that way too until on the app we use to talk called telegram had the feature of sending and saving gifs and one day we were innocently talking about sex... i can't even remember what.. but it led to him saying something he wants to try and he went and found it on google as a gif and he sent them to me and it continued from there. its actually really fun and i NEVER believed i would think that. if you think she's gorgeous and sexy etc then talking about what you want her to do.. or what you wanna do to her should be a turn on.. maybe you're not talking dirty enough. because I've seen some things on tumblr and twitter of screenshot sexting and its like "*slowly kisses your neck and you start to moan*" "*kisses you back and asks you to take my clothes off*" . i would die if that was my boyfriend trying to dirty talk lmao. It seems weird and immature. you need to talk really dirty for it to be good.
I agree with what you said actually, it has to be more passionate and to the point in order to get your girl excited but the same applies to the girl :D However some people might prefer it to be more gently or emotionally and gradually getting dirtier, I guess you know what I mean :D
I couldn't do it either when my ex wanted to talk about it, he actually helped me with sexting. Tell your girlfriend it makes you laugh when you write about it, she might be willing to help you out. You're not comfortable with your "sexual feelings" out loud which is why you're laughing.
I think you could try and a less extreme version of it. Like instead of step by step descriptions of what you want to do (ex: then I push you on the bed and..." , you can be like "I love when you do ____" or "someday we should try___".
Talk about your fantasies, just describe them to her. You can work out what you like to hear about and work it into the conversation.
I just go along with it anyway. Text doesn't do anything for me but she likes it.
