Can phimosis limit the size of an erection?

Hello there. Apologies for the specific question, I was wondering if others know anything about this. I have phimosis, i. e. my foreskin is very tight, and doesn't retract. When I have an erection, what happens is that the foreskin tends to stretch from closer to the base, while the tip remains very tight, so it never retracts. Sometimes though, if I have a strong erection, I feel like the foreskin is almost keeping the rest of my penis restricted, like it is resisting against the erection. I have been gradually stretching the foreskin (with some success, I can pull the tip open, but it will never retract during an erection), and I think recently that my erections have been better and larger, but it can be hard to tell. I've also tried to improve my lifestyle (eating more healthily, drinking a little less), so it is difficult to tell whether any improvements in my erections are due to my general lifestyle changes, or due to the effects of stretching. Anyway, all opinions are welcome, thanks for reading.

  • i have phimosis and micropenis, sometimes it will restrict it, other times not, its particularly the case in the winter, i get the sensation of an erection but my foreskin is still curled up, the result is a short, stubby stiff dick that looks sort of like a guy who has swam in cold water.

Hope you are managing some stretching, if not, I think the doctors can help more now.

  • Yes, of course your foreskin restricts your penis from expanding. This is never good.
I suggest you talk to a doctor about circumcision.

    • I'm going to see the doctor next week, but I really don't see the point in circumcision. Besides, the stretching is going fine so far, it's just very slow. I'm going to ask about some steroid cream just to help accelerate the stretching progress.

    • Sure. Good luck!

  • Have you ever had sex? If yes how was the feeling?

    • No, I'm a virgin. I guess it would be fine though if I used a condom and lots of lube.

    • Condom will help the foreskin to stay more stable however it won't feel completely fine. About the size of an erection I can tell you that if your doctor cuts your foreskin you'll get like 1-2 cm. more. However, when you touch the tip of the penis ( not the covered tip with the foreskin ) does it feel sensitive and painful?

    • I've never actually touched my glans, because the foreskin is too tight. Although with stretching I might be able to see the glans in maybe 3 months. With stretching it's better to take it slowly. I'm definitely not going to get it circumcised, I'll just stick with the stretching. I don't really see the point of getting circumcised, for me it's just swapping one problem for another.
