My Boyfriend said he wants to be celibate?

So my boyfriend broke up with me ,than said he wants to be celibate THAN like an hour later says that he wants to be with me and he was stressed out from work and didn't mean it.hmm We've been together for 4 years now off and on. and I KNOW he wants to be with me, but than later that night when I asked him why he said that he wanted to be celibate he said "sex makes men weak" what do you think he meant by that? he didn't tell me kept on getting upset, than I let it go. But that's harsh

Okay...wel I don't THINk he's cheated on ME but I don't KNOW for SURE he's been faithful and always tells me AND acts like I'm the ONLY woman who he is with. I'm just confused by that! I think he meant that by having sex with me he wants it MORE? or something we don't live together so we only do it like 3 or 4 times a week does that mean anything?

If he's religious he could feel confused about wanting sex so much. (or wanting so much sex!) "we only do it like 3 or 4 times a week " It could be that he wants more but is annoyed by his feelings: it depends on how religious he is, or which hangups about sex he has from his education: he also might want celibacy in a (vain!) idea or hope that singles can have more sex (which is quite wrong: few singles have as much sex as people living in couple)

He can want celibacy to have less sex or sexual feelings, but he can also want celibacy to have more sex. YYou'll know him (and his sex drive and or hangups) better than I can guess.

Well when you're in love with someone, you get it on with them. When you're not, you tell then you want to be celibate. Unless of course he loves you in a higher way, a spiritual way.
