Why does it seem like so many people see balls as the male equivalent of boobs?

I don't get it. I've seen people ask if female MMA fighters should wear chest plates like guys where cups.

I've even seen pictures like this one:

And one of my friends who went for a mammogram was shouting and talking about how men don't have to do this.

Boobs and balls are not remotely similar. Balls produce sperm cells to fertilize an egg. Boobs produce milk to feed babies. If there is a female equivalent of balls it would be ovaries!!!

As someone whose sister played lacross,
She once got hit in the boob with a lacross ball and the fact is that its supposed to HURT like being hit in the balls

Can you imagine getting kicked in the ovaries? Ouchhh. It would be excruciating even though they're protected by skin and muscles. I can't imagine what it would be like for guys...

True. Boobs are just tissues of fat. Mine don't hurt at all unless I'm on my period.

@frecklejuice Vulva is still much more sensitive then the breasts, maybe not the whole vulva but if you get hit right in the clitoris, that will still be excruciating and probably just as bad as getting hit in the balls.

Boobs are the mammary organs just like the testicles and are big enough and hanging on the chest like the testicles hang down there so it sounds like they both are equivalent but the real equivalent of testicles are the ovaries, it is inside so it can't get hurt like the testicles can though but getting hit at the spot where girls have the clitoris down there can hurt probably just as bad as getting hit in the balls, the pain might be different but the intensity will be same, boobs don't hurt that much according to most girls.
