  • Depending on when you last had sexual intercourse it may be too earlier to tell. If you have taken all of your pills correctly you are unlikely to be pregnant. Occasionally you will just miss a withdrawal bleed for no reason, so just carry on taking the pill as soon as your pill free period is over, then either wait roughly 2 weeks after your last sexual encounter to test again, or wait until your next scheduled withdrawal bleed. If you dont get that one either, thats when you should start considering the possibility of pregnancy. Dont worry though, you're probably fine so try not to stress, that will only further delay it.

  • Yes, it's typical, especially if you're new to the birth control. It will take your body time to acclimate to this new medication in your system. Sometimes, your period will return. On other versions of birth control, it gets rid of it entirely.

  • Hi! I'm on birth control as well. I had a surgery 4 months ago and since that surgery, i skipped 2 periods, had one, then skipped another. All not on purpose. Taking my pill on time and everything. My understanding is that it is normal but it still makes me very uneasy and unhealthy not having a period

  • Yes, and it says right in the information that it's normal for you to miss your period or for it come after your placebo week.

  • Completely normal... Just how there's that chance that your period isn't completely predictable. At least for me; usually I know exactly how it's going to go, I know the second day is the worst, etc. But every now and then it'll be significantly heavier or lighter, shorter or longer, than I'm expecting it to be.

But if I were in your shoes I would've gotten a pregnancy test just to be sure too. You can rule that out now, so don't drive yourself too crazy! :)

  • It happens then you're on B/C. I usually never get a period, and have to spend money one pregnancy test, just to make sure.

  • Are you using the first pee of the morning when you take your tests? If you still don't have a period take another test or go to the doctor. I've only known of people missing their period on the pills when they do it on purpose and skip the placebo pill and go straight to the next pack

  • Yes!

  • I've read that it's possible so try not to stress. I often don't get mine until later in the placebo week and I stress that I'm pregnant although I know it's very slim chances. I often find going for a run or exercising helps my body relax and my period comes! Just remember that the pill is extremely effective in preventing pregnancy, if you're taking it correctly try to relax as the stress you out on your body could be delaying it. :)

  • It depends... If its an birth control injection that lasts for 3 months then not! but it depends anyway on your body how its functions. For other girls its just normal and they do get their menstruation and others dont! But to be sure check it with your doctor or your girlfriend or mom who knows better or tried it before.

  • The fact that you went and got birth control put into your body without educating yourself about the side effects is pathetic.

    • I would kindly ask you not to judge people on their personal health choices. There are short and long-term benefits to birth control as well as detractors. Do not assume that she did not educate herself. She could just be looking for some first hand reinforcement of what she is experiencing. Your comment is neither kind nor appropriate.

    • @confusedgirl239 cry me a river😢😢😢😢

    • I assure you, I'm not crying. I'm just trying to educate you about birth control and encourage you to not take quick judgment on others.
