Whats the fucking point of giving you an honest answer. Reading through all your replies, you just attack everyone that has given you a genuine reason with "educate yourself!" "lame excuse" "admit you're embarrassed". These people are helping you and you are spitting in their faces. Its seems you have some deep hate right now and just need to abuse people. Maybe you're a troll. Either way, for someone who claims to be 'a thinker', you dont seem to want to think much about what people are saying- just abuse them for saying it.

Valid reasons I've seen:
1) Guys aren't educated about them. I know of education programs where boys and girls are separated and only learn about their genders sexual issues. Thankfully most modern countries realise that all issues should be taught to both genders. Many guys do know about periods, but some were simply never told (and many of those are taught that they are also in the next category...)
2) Its not our problem, we dont have them. Like that reponse or not but many guys feel this isn't something they need to worry about. The makeup analogy was a fair one to make. But there are plenty of guys that do consider it part of things they should care about.
3) They just dislike ANY blood. Its a valid dislike. Some people just can't stand the sight of blood. Its got nothing to do with periods specifically.

As for being obssessed with sex: Not all are, and those that are, its biological. Women are the same. Plus, its 2 separate issues. One is reproduction, one is lust.

I agree that we should all be educated about such things and be as open we can about them but simply some people cant/wont be. Accept it and stop attacking those trying to answer the question you asked

I think it just stems to a wrong perception of period. My boyfriend refuses period sex or even touching around there. I think they have a perception that huge chunks of blood leaks out and spatters everything by the liter. No matter how much I try to educate him or explain "lighter" flow days or heavy flow days, it doesn't sink in and he says the idea just makes him feel gross and he even said it feels "rape-ey".

Cause they aren't used to huge puddles of nasty smelly blood but yeah periods are normal. There's nothing we could do about it. Guys understand especially if they have a lot of sisters or were raised right but some just don't like blood. Because we don't have them and because we are not taught much about them other then a fleeting chapter in biology class.
So when we 'encounter' a girl/woman on her period, we are not sure what to do or how to handle it.
Being obsessed with sex is not directly correlated with the period. I think most of us look at the period as something women have to do through... and then back to the fun (sex).

Tbh i feel like any sexual education we recieve is focused on directly trying to prevent pregnancy. I have learnt about condoms, abstinence etc but literally nothing about HOW pregnancy occurs (other than the obvious stick the willy in the hole).
