Hun I don't know what guys want but it is not a good idea to shave it completely down there becasue that hair is protection not only from the males rough pubic hairs but it also catches sweat and dirt from your body from going in when your in the shower or working. Look it up if you don't believe me plus I would like you to get details of what I'm tryig to say.
I think more than anything you should do what you are comfortable with. I would think most guys would expect it to be tamed in some fashion whether that's just trimming or shaving/waxing. I personally (and the majority of my friends do this too) keep it completely shaved most of the time and especially in the summer when I'll be wearing bathing suits a lot.
You aren't "supposed" to do anything. It is your decision.
About guys' opinion, really, I saw in this website that a lot of guys want it to be totally shaved, a lot of guys prefer it trimmed (shortened) and a lot of guys prefer it to be untouched.
It's approximately a 1/1/1 ratio, so go with what you like to do.
Your friends boyfriend is extremely shallow it is perfectly fine not to be shaved down there, its your body don't let guys make you do things but I'm one of the men who like hair down there ... there isn't as many but there's still a lot of us out there

Personally being shaved "down there" is nice but as long as you take care of yourself keep it trimmed/tamed in some fashion very few guys are going to care. I have seen woman with everything but a little "landing strip" shaved, completely, and not at all. Bottom line its your preferance and any guy that would dump someone over that is not worth having anyway.
I'm only concerned with the hygiene. I couldn't care less about the amount of hair. I don't know many guys that would dump someone for not meeting that expectation, seems a bit trivial to me. If you weren't meant to have hair there, it wouldn't grow >.>

I prefer completely shaved. I think it looks better and feels better. Although, some girls can certainly work a neatly manicure bush. But a whole mess of tangled pubic hair, no thanks. It's got to be clean and neat.
Is is supposed to he completely shaven? I think that's up to her if she's willing or wants to do that or not. Do women want a huge tangled mess of pubic hair on a guy? I don't think so...

It depends on the guy, but most like it shaved. I would be ok with it if a girl didn't shave, but I would never go down on her.
