Sex is more than a physical act; it is a spiritual and emotional connection. Men may not be as prone to become attached as women because men are more physical creatures than women are. Whenever you have sex with someone, you take a piece of them with you. I have even noticed that people who have slept together take on some personality traits of the other person. Not to mention, and ladies you have to admit this to a point, sometimes a girl will have sex to try hook a guy into staying with them because it's "what we want." They can have a tendency to get their hopes up without realizing that this guy was just looking for a good time. Sad truth.

It has to do with a girls hormones. when she mates with a man a certain mix of hormones and shit gets released. she will start to love only his smell and taste and shit. or should. sometimes it doesn't work or something.
And then we typically just want to reproduce a lot because it's what we. feel. sex; want; lots; dammit.

I think it depends on a girl. when I have sex for fun I don't feel attached.when I feel something to a guy I feel attached even without having sex. I think girl do have sex for physical needs too and sometimes I started to like a guy when I think the can pleasure me in bed. Also if I can't get the pleasure I may break up or don't really care the guy. I never heard about that hormone but I did not have any problem about attachment whn I have random sex..
Wow, interesting question coming from someone older. Usually, guys much younger are asking a question like this. Not all women think sex equals a deep emotional connection. However, as you do get older... women expect more from a guy. Especially, if they are ready to settle down(not saying they want to get married to you, however, they are looking for potential suitors). I can't really say why they do get attached... but it happens. It happens with some guys as well. Usually, with the first girl they sleep with. Not all.. but some.
oxytocin, aka the bonding hormone, is released during orgasm. so if you do a great job, she's going to have an oxytocin rush and get attached, want to cuddle, etc. it's not quite that basic, but there's sort of a neurological excuse for this behaviour at least. wiki it if you're interested. :)

women don't have sex just cause it feels good.its so we can connect with a guy we care about. its super hard for a girl to separate her emotions once she has sex with a guy. the only way we can do that is if we either don't really the guy or want to take advantage of him.

It's partially responsible for the female desire to cuddle afterwards. It all goes back to the evolutionary creation of pair bonds.

Maybe girls see sex as something a little more intimate and special than guys do. I think they want to be loved and appreciated and don't want to be there just because you're in need of some pleasure. That's just like you're using them. I 'm not sure of too many girls out there that just want to be there to please you and then gladly get tossed aside like yesterdays garbage.

Well for two reasons. One, when girls have sex, there's a hormone released called oxytocin. This hormone creates a relationship with what's causing you to get this hormone, so the guy your having sex with, if he makes you release this, it causes you to have a bond with him.
Another reason is that girls, for the most part anyway, aren't whores who screw anyone. They usually try to pick out who they have sex with, because they feel an attraction there. Thus if you do let him have sex with you, you think that there is a connection there.

Because sexual attraction for women is different. Its more about you as a person not just the way that you look. So if we already like you as a person enough to have sex with you, we've already had feelings before the sex even happened which just intensify after the sex. Sex has one of its purposes to bring people closer together via intimacy. Bottom line most of us just don't view it the same way as guys. If you just want sex be upfront about that.
