Girls, do you remove your upper leg hair? (Do you have visible hair there that needs to be removed?)

I have to remove the hair on my upper legs (thighs), basically everything from my ankles to my hips I have to shave or wax. I know there are some other girls who do but I'm wondering how many. My mom has no hair there and I get mad that I have to spend so much time on hair removal. Girls, do you remove your upper leg hair? If so, do you shave, wax, or use another method? I'd really like to hear about your experiences and know how I compare. Thanks!

  • Yes, I shave my upper legs and I always have. The hair there doesn't grow as quickly as on my calves, so this enables me to shave there every week and a half. The hair on my upper legs is blonde so if I don't shave then it is noticeable. In addition, I personally prefer to have smooth legs so it's worth the extra time to shave. Also, when I wear shorts, skirts or dresses I want my legs to be fully shaved.

A couple of years ago, I switched to a product called Intuition. It is a razor with 4 blades and it has like a wax bar that surrounds the blades. When you take it in the shower, the water activates the wax and it lathers as it shaves. I do not get razor burn and it shaves VERY nicely. The days of shaving cream and a razor are GONE! This product is the best thing I ever bought. It might be an option for you as well.

    • Could be. Thanks for the idea!

  • I do, the hairs are not visible...well unless your like face is right up against my leg haha but I like for my entire leg to be smooth so I shave it because its just a personal preference.

Though do you have any like...razor you use that works really well? Every single freaking time I shave my legs I get some sort of a cut, and I mean I am as gentle and slow as I can be but its getting ridiculous and my legs are soo cut up right now.

so what works best for you?

oh and okay I get my eyebrows waxed...it hurts but like, I can take it, I don't know lol I hate the feeling but I just suffer through it so...leg waxing, how bad does it really hurt?

    • I can't really say... it hurts but it's not excruciating. But one thing to keep in mind is, the more you do it the less it will hurt. If the first time is terrible, give it another chance before you give up on it.

  • I never did but I recently started to because I wanted everything to be smooth...however, for some reason the skin on my upper thigh is like way more sensitive (maybe because I just recently started shaving it all the time) and I get a ton of razor bumps! Also...the direction of the hair growth is weird so instead of just shaving up the leg like normal... I have to shave down and from side to side. I hate it cause it adds a good 5 min to my shower routine now and those razor bumps hurt like hell!

  • i think this is a choice to shave the upper part.
I dated before they were all anti hair and shaving daily in the shower.
I even volunteered to shave their legs but only did it a couple times.
I thought it was fun and arousing for both of us. :)

  • i have hair on the upper leg area, but it's super fine and hard to see unless the light hits it a certain way. I just about never bother with it. I will cream the tattoo on my upper thigh tho, just because peoples attention is naturally drawn to that when it's exposed. :)

  • Waxing last the longest, but hurts like hell. If you have a low pain threshold, avoid at all costs.

Shaving is a fine quick fix, but it actually grows back in thicker after you shave, so I don't recommend that.

    • I wax. I actually do have a pretty low pain threshold, but I don't like to shave because of how it will grow back and how often I have to do it. I used to shave before I started waxing. I'm happier with waxing but it still frustrates me in a lot of ways. Thanks for the answer! (Do you shave there, then?)

    • I've started shaving now that the summer months have come again, but my hair is still rather sparse there because I rarely touch it. I only shave my thighs every 1-2 months, which at the most take 10 minutes, so it doesn't bother me.

    • Ok. My hair is fine but it's pretty dark in some areas. Also, when it grows back I can feel it even in areas where it isn't so visible. If I shaved I would have to at least twice a week probably, which I guess isn't SO bad. But the whole thing bugs me.

  • Yes, I have hair there. It's pretty fine and light so I don't worry about it too much since no one will see it. I really only bother shaving it in summer or when I feel it's getting too long.

  • I shave my legs because I get faint hair near enough every where.

  • I only shave my legs, I don't wax, it takes too much time and my skin is too sensitive. But yes, I shave everywhere. I have blonde hair so it's not visible but I like it to feel smooth all over.

  • I used to shave but now I wax my my entire leg. It hurts, but I prefer it just because it grows back much slower than when you shave, it's not prickly, and less grows as opposed to shaving where it's the most unpleasant feeling when it starts to grow back, and after time you can start growing 2 or 3 hairs out of one spot instead of just 1! Yeah it's more time consuming at once but in the end, you save time cause you wax once every few weeks rather than shaving many times a week.

  • yes and I wax

  • i'm blond, so I generally don't have too, cause you can't see it. I do when I wear bikinis, but, not daily any other time

  • I sometimes shave my upper leg hair, depending on ho much time I have. I definitely do if I am going to be wearing a dress or am about to go swimming. I shave my legs because I find it quicker and waxing tends to be more painful. Also waxing tends to give me more bumps, though it does last longer.
