16 and it depends on the person. Some regret it and some don't. I didn't regret it when I was with the guy but now that I'm not with him really makes me regret it. I wish I could have saved my virginity for my husband. Not for any religious reasons mainly just so he could have had that and made it special for him. But what is done is done and there's nothing I can do about it.

I don't regret losing it! I regret the person, but the time felt right to me. It doesn't matter what age you lose it at as long as it's right for you! Even if everyone was losing their virginities at 12 I wouldn't hop on the bandwagon.

Religious views as well! I'm Christian. I'm still iffy about the subject though. I hear a lot of people getting married and they're not happy with their sexual life since they waited for marriage. So I don't know. I guess if I meet a nice guy and we are in a serious relationship I might consider losing my virginity

But what happens when you break up. Sex is no longer a special thing you share with your husband. Studies have also shown that each time you have sex with someone you subcontiosly and emotionally, through hormones realeased diring sex, you give a part of yourself to the other person. A sort of connection even if it's a one night stand. And when you do it with more then one person, not everyone will recognize it, will have varying negative effects on your mental, emotional well being.
