Can he bust inside you if you're on birth control?

I've been on nexplanon (implant birth control) for about a month now, and the past week or two my boyfriend and I have been having sex frequently. He usually pulls out but last night he busted inside me. Am I covered because of the birth control or is there anything to be worried about? I know birth control is meant for stuff like this but I need reassurance.
Please help so I know whether I need to pick up the plan b or not hahaha
thanks in advance :~)

The doctor told me to use another form of bc (ex condoms) for a week, then after that I should be fine. Does that make any difference or should I still go for the plan b?

  • You should be fine, honestly!
I've been on the pill for 3 years now and I'm all good. Only had to change it a few times cause of nasty side affects and now I'm on a more suitable one.
It takes one week for a contraceptive to become affective after that you're protected, says on Google it's 99.9% effective when used correctly!
If you're really worried phone your doctor and ask or go to a pharmacist and see what they say.
Birth Control can also prevent you from having regular periods so don't do what I did and panic if you don't get one (god knows how many tests I took to make sure I wasn't pregnant). If you don't get one coupled with other symptoms then take it as a precaution ☺

  • Im on the same birth control and my boyfriend and i never use a condom and he rarely pulls out. Nexplanon is 99% satisfaction guaranteed and its extremely rare that you could be that 1%. The only reason that its not 100% is because if some crazy shit happened and someone got pregnant and they decided to sue the company for everything that company had, the company would loose everything and everyone with the implant would have to get it taken out. The 99% is just for liability protection. you're safe.

  • The way birth control works is supposed to work is that regardless of whether he comes in you or not, the medication prevents the semen from reaching the egg which would get you pregnant. In short, if he came in you while you were on birth control, you should not be pregnant. HOWEVER: Birth control can sometimes fail or be ineffective for a variety of reasons. If you start experiencing pregnancy signs, don't dismiss it and take a test from a local drugstore.

  • You should be OK based on the information you provided (length of time you had the nexplanon inserted to when your boyfriend ejaculated) but if you have concerns call your doctor and ask him/her and be HONEST about the timing. The whole concept of birth control is to prevent unwanted pregnancies however some contraceptives are more effective than others. I am not familiar with nexplanon so I can't comment. Best to talk with a medical professional

  • It doesn't matter what birth control you use, any time a guy has an orgasm inside you, you could get pregnant. Yes, it may only be 1% or 2% chance, but it is not 100%. Best to use two methods. I had the pill almost fail for me and a past girlfriend - and it was rated 97%. Fortunately, she just ended up late and not pregnant. Scared us both though.

  • You will be fine, and don't pick up plan B because it'll throw your hormones out of check even more lol.

I still recommend using condoms if you're on BC, but don't worry. It has a 99% protection rate. You'll be fine

    • Also warning when he starts nutting inside he's probably not gonna want to stop

    • It does make a difference. You've taken it long enough to where you'll be fine, the hormones are already taking effect in your body. You can take plan B but I don't recommend it as that's way too many hormones flooding your body and it's likely to make you have mood swings, cramp, and have a late period which will freak you out even more

  • It all depends on where you are with your cycle. I recommend getting a period tracking app so you know when your ovulating and avoid sex on those days or use a condom

  • You've been on it for a whole full 4 weeks? You should be fine. That's how long most take to be effective.

  • plan b isn't needed, and it fucks your hormones up, birth control is something like 97% working. just go with it.

  • Your prescriber should have told you how long it would be before the implant gave you full protection. Call them and ask.

  • My wife has been on birth control since before we got married and I've cum in her nearly every time we have sex. We only have one child who is 12yrs old. But she is also taking the pill not the implant

  • you dont need plan b, youve had your nexplanon for 1 month, my OBGYN said to use back up birth control for one week after getting mine inserted. Of course if you need that extra reasurrance go for it if it makes you feel better.

  • It will be fine, he can do.

  • I would tell him to tell you first before doing that, you should be okay an implant works really well, but you can't always be too sure so it's up to you

  • Sure he can cum inside you whenever he wants... just cause you have a bc implant doesn't mean it's 100% so there is always a chance.

  • Nex is over 99% affective so I think your good lol

  • I don't know how nexaplanon works but you're normally supposed to use a back up method for at least a couple weeks to a month before it actually works.

  • Always worked for me.

  • Better to be safe then sorry.

  • He sure can :)

  • If it makes you feel better go for plan B but you shouldn't have to worry it is extremely rare to get pregnant on BC

  • Yes he can cum inside you several times. You are good. Enjoy.

  • IF the thing is correctly placed it works. In the U. K. they had a few hundred accidental pregnancies because of incorrectly placed Implanon however.

  • you can still get pregnant

  • if it real good bc u should be fine but I would still take plan b just for that reassurance. I have hear girls still getting pregnant on bc.
